A new 155-mm self-propelled howitzer Aleksandar has been introduced in Serbia

According to the blog bmpdDuring 8-th Defense Exhibition "Partner 2017", held from 27 of 30 of June in Belgrade, the Serbian military-industrial association "Јugoimport - SDPR" has presented a new 155-mm / 52 automated self-propelled howitzer Aleksandar wheeled chassis 8h8 formula.

Sau Aleksandar

This product is a further development of the NORA family of self-propelled guns on a wheeled chassis and uses the 155-mm / 52 rocking part characteristic of self-propelled installation NORA B-52. The maximum firing range of the howitzer is 32,5 km, and an active-jet projectile of improved aerodynamic shape with an additional bottom gas generator is up to 52 km. However, the installation Aleksandar is fully automated and the artillery part is controlled remotely from the armored SAU cab. The gun is equipped with an automatic loader with 12 shots ready for firing. Another 12 spare shots are in the compartment behind the armored booth. SAU Aleksandar is made on a Tatra chassis with a wheel formula 8х8.

SAU NORA B-52

As indicated, the new howitzer aroused interest in Pakistan. In February, the Minister of Defense Industry of Pakistan, at the IDEX-2017 exhibition in the United Arab Emirates, held talks with the leadership of Hugoimport - SDPR regarding the participation of the Serbian group in the tender of the Pakistani army on the 2017-mm / 155 self-propelled howitzer on a wheeled chassis in February. It is expected to purchase approximately 52 of this type of systems, of which 500 is planned to be assembled in Pakistan.

Pasha, be healthy! Besides the Serbs, Slovaks and their “Dana” also made a splash in their time. They even put it into service with the Soviet Army.

Dim, here we are inventive - the Slavs. It’s a pity that some people just forget about it and become the “Caucasian type” according to the Western classification (ie, Naglosaks).

Serbs must be supported and they will go far. In Soviet times, visits to Yugoslavia were allowed to exchange 30 rubles for bonds, when in other countries of the socialist camp 300. Since freedom and living standards in Yugoslavia were at the level of cap. countries.

In general, it is strange that almost everyone except the Swedish army abandoned the “Archers”. And they don’t really want to ... Why repeat someone else's negative experience?

And you try to put the question differently:
That's really why the Serbs "copy" Archer, and even in a much worse performance?
        My answer option:
Yes, because Archer was created for a different war than the wars that are going on in the world today. They do not buy Archers, because it is expensive for today's wars. Everyone knows how to count money. But the threat of new wars is growing. So it is no coincidence that today Serbs offer their goods.
The Serbs did worse, cheaper, but this is exactly a copy of Archer. Moreover, the Serbs did not consider the potential of the entire architecture of Archer, and instead of improving it worsened it.

Archer was not created for war at all. Without reference to the tactics of using artillery units as a spherical horse in a vacuum.
Moreover, they are equally practically useless in any war, starting with a large-scale "big" and ending with the fight against baboons.

Why is it worse? Equally useless device.

Without reference to the tactics of using artillery units

This is a key moment of our differences with you. I believe (this is my personal opinion) that the Archers were created under a different "tactic of using artillery units." This is a requirement of the coming war between comparable opponents with modern means of surveillance, communication, control, modern missile and artillery weapons, with the corresponding support of modern aviation, i.e. the one you call "large-scale" big ", and not the modern" fight against baboons. "
I will allow myself only one statement (my personal) as an example: shooting even two Archers with one fire is already nonsense for using these systems. For advertising, they can line up together, but this is only for advertising purposes. Preparation for shooting is still on the way. Unfold in 30 seconds. They shoot fast. Minimize also less than a minute.
But all this automation requires money. To use such systems in the "fight against baboons" is impractical.
            And finally, your argument:
They don't seem to buy archers. But why then did the Serbs spend money on this weak likeness of the Archers? This "why" doesn’t bother you?

Under the nonexistent tactics of artillery units. When they cease to support combined arms units and move on to tactics of terrorist "injections" such as those used by the Taliban in Afghanistan against the American FOB.
That is, shellings that do not have military significance, with small casualties and minor damage to materiel. But at the same time exerting psychological pressure. Tactics of "vile", so to speak.

Only now I'm not at all sure that these "fools" will last long after the destruction of infantry and tank units and other infrastructure elements. In conditions of complete domination of enemy artillery.

And you do not mind the huge amount of money spent by the Germans on the "Mouse"? Following your logic, were they insanely effective?

Why are they “ceasing to support combined arms units and moving on to tactics of terrorist“ injections? ”I haven’t mentioned a word about this. And what if you compare Archer with the baboons? If the Mujahideen had Archers in Afghanistan, then the Americans would quickly figure it out.
Archers do not disappear like Mujahideen. They are not intended to leave the area from which they provide fire support to combined arms units. They will simply be in constant motion within the area. This is the same carousel that I mentioned to you last time. A high rate of fire and a quick change of firing position is both a high density of fire and survivability, especially in conditions of a counter battery fight.

This is not my logic. The mouses were large, but prototypes. Dimensions in this case mean nothing. The main costs go when starting up a series. Tigers were production cars. Between the prototype and the serial - a huge distance. And here the question is more to your logic. According to you, everyone has already abandoned the Archers. And why, after such a "negative" experience, did the Serbs decide to return to this scheme? Absolutely stupid Serbs, or what?
