The contract for the supply of aircraft C-295 concluded by Kazakhstan

17

As reported yesterday by ARMS-TASS, Kazakhstan signed a contract for the purchase of C-295 military transport aircraft manufactured by Airbus (information from ITAR-TASS). Such aircraft are successfully operated by France, Spain, the Czech Republic and other countries.

In the Kazakh Ministry of Defense clarified that at the beginning of next year, the Kazakh Air Force fleet will be replenished with 2 aircraft. Then Kazakhstan intends to get another 6 aircraft.

As a result, by the end of 2018, the military transport park aviation Kazakhstan Air Force will be replenished with eight C-295 aircraft.

The Ministry of Defense of Kazakhstan stressed the fact that the signing of this contract was preceded by a study of the market of military transport aircraft. After the market monitoring, the Kazakhs considered the high maneuverability of the C-295 advantages, allowing them to fly at very low altitudes, good handling and stability, reliability of automatic engine control systems, increased survivability in emergency situations. It was also noted that the fuel consumption of this aircraft is half the consumption of aircraft of this class. Finally, the C-295 has a long range (over five and a half thousand kilometers).

In the Kazakh Ministry of Defense they said that airplanes of a single model range would also provide for a reduction in costs: firstly, for operation, and secondly, for retraining of technical and flight personnel.

Updating the fleet will allow Kazakhstan, as noted, to create a group of military transport aviation that is capable of deploying troops, military equipment and weapons in any strategic direction, and without intermediate landings for refueling.

If we compare the performance characteristics of both "trucks", then the data is not in favor of the AN-140 ...
The issue of acquiring AN would be positive only if Ukraine were part of the EurAsEC and the Customs Union ... but this is already politics ....

That's right, not in favor, but there is no coordination gap., And the difference in performance characteristics is compensated by less expendable characteristics, starting from aviation kerosene, which is worse with us, but it’s shit for our aviation.

              Good day...
the difference is 3700 kg, or 12 paratroopers ..., in the event of any situation, this can play a big role ...

Then buy "Mriya", there is not completed at the Kiev aircraft plant lying around. The battalion will go there!
The question is, figs need it. Economically, the costs are not justified. That's the way with the Spanish plane. How much money he will take in during operation. And where does the difference of 3700 come from? Less than a ton of weight and range is not so radically different when fully loaded.

Yes, yes, one engine can be disassembled, to see for sporting interest, what and how much ... Most importantly, it would have been not chip-like, otherwise it would get into a heap.

What do you mean do not. And An 140-100? Of course, it is slightly inferior in carrying capacity and range, but for sure it is cheaper and most importantly, they planned to collect it in Kazakhstan.

and that means that of course you would buy An 140, but do you see it only
          planned to collect in Kazakhstan
but in fact what happened ... in fact, where is he "An" then? no, but there is a si-295

The aircraft (An 140) is mass-produced by the Kharkov State Aviation Production Enterprise (KHAPP) in Ukraine and the Samara Aviation Plant Aviakor in Russia, as well as the aircraft factory in Iran. In 2010, only 4 aircraft were produced (all for Iran).

Firstly, the beginning of 2012 is now. An agreement with the Kazakhs was signed only last fall, for the construction of a new aircraft factory. Naturally, for the time being, the females could buy the Russian or Ukrainian assembly, but in the future the logistics would not be disrupted. And the Spanish plane will make you completely dependent on the manufacturer in everything!

Now it is clear where they were pushed. These are the aircraft that NATO could not pull. There were not enough stewards. The program was designed for 140 aircraft that NATO was supposed to buy. But there were problems with funding. "The noise was over the roof" one amount was requested for the development. But by some miracle, it grew 2,5 times. And since the shares of EADS were bought by the states. It is necessary to save the case.

So, Kazakhstan has taken the path of equipping its Armed Forces with aircraft armed with NATO. It seems that somewhere in the CSTO was broken. Adopting the equipment of a potential enemy, to put it mildly, is nonsense. So it seems that all our construction of the defense alliance takes place more in the paper reports and dreams of some military than in reality.
