The question of the purchase of equipment by Egypt for the "Mistral" has not yet been resolved

The decision of the Egyptian side to equip the Mistral with other necessary types of helicopter technology, namely: the search and rescue and radar patrol, as well as other radio equipment, has not yet been made,
said Shugaev.

The day before, he said that Russia had won a tender for the supply of Ka-52K Katran helicopters to Egypt.

At the beginning of June, Rostec corporation’s CEO Sergei Chemezov told reporters that negotiations with Cairo on the supply of equipment for Mistral are continuing.

Negotiations are underway,
He said, specifying that the issues with the financing of the transaction have not yet been resolved.

Either it will be our loan, or they will take it from another country,
added Chemezov.

Let the Saudis pay, as well as for the ships.

I didn’t understand the same thing, fig goat button accordion? Why does Egypt need long-range landing ships? Something is wrong with this deal.

We won an interesting tender, if in its conditions the payment method on the part of Egypt was apparently not defined, then we won, the right to grant a loan to Egypt?
Another such tender and Chemezov can sit down for writing a scientific article on "Clinical Psychology" ....

Yes, they would give these Mistrals of the Russian Federation, all the same, there are no pins for the turntables. They’ll climb into debt. Well, to hell with them. And debts and Mistrals?

but as usual, they will receive helicopters, the Russian Federation will pay it as it were, but you can’t give back the loan, it always has been (there are no examples), who just didn’t forgive loans from Mozambique to the German Democratic Republic and Cuba (the last loan was granted by the GDP, personally).
I didn’t hear that one of the Westerners once forgave loans.

Egypt alone for tanks owes 5 billion dollars (in prices of the 70s), not to mention everything else. But of course, one can also forgive for “friendship” and “good neighborly relations”. Yes, but no one will appreciate it. Arabs are a people who will throw money and friendship, and in addition will be proud of it. Russia, by the way, is the legal successor of the USSR, and also in debt. Egypt for the supply of weapons in the 70s, did not pay.

Ours could have sold helicopters on credit to the Egyptian Autonomous Republic, but with the condition of the pledge of the UDC themselves, they won’t pay the money, the UDC will give us .... for this, and the Egyptians will receive the price difference face-to-face at the Russian embassy in Cairo, that's a good increase to pensions to both parties ... the empirialists really may not understand such a joke for the "whites" ....

      others will not give.
or they will, but for their equipment, for example, Americans, and the amount will be 10-20 times more than now.
and then they will shake everything down to the penny plus 100 percent of the fat.
moreover, they will give it with Russian money, for which the noble Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation recently purchased American “trasheris” or “cut paper” in Russian, bought 100 yards - walk a flaw from the ruble and above

As the 70-year-old experience of supplying Egypt with world military equipment “off the horse feed” has shown. I think that in any Egyptian military conflict with a serious adversary, the Mistrals will be destroyed in the first place.
