Although no financial sanctions were imposed, according to the law (global “Magnitsky Act” - approx. VO), during these 120 days, since its entry into force, the United States has been actively searching for people to whom this law can be applied, and collect the necessary evidence to impose these sanctions

The US in December 2012 of the year adopted the "Magnitsky Act" on sanctions against the Russians involved, according to the American authorities, to human rights violations. The Russian authorities, in turn, have repeatedly declared the inadmissibility of the politicization of the “Magnitsky case”.
