The next batch of Oplot-T tanks arrived in Thailand
They are shipped as part of the contract number USE-18.2-356-D / K-11 worth more than 240 million, signed by Ukrspetseksport 1 September 2011 of the year and providing for the supply of 2014 new BM tanks to Thailand’s 49 army by the end of the year 2 by the Thai Army XNUMX Oplot-T and XNUMX armored repair and recovery vehicles based on them.
The agreed schedule of shipment of BM Oplot-T under the contract was as follows: December 2012 of the year - five cars, August 2013 of the year - 15 machines, December 2013 of the year - 15 machines, August 2014 of the year - 14 machines.
“The plant named after V.A. Malyshev” started to release 2012 of the year in April. Given the 10-year-old production downtime, significant difficulties arose. As a result, the first five tanks arrived in Thailand only February 4 2014 of the year. The second batch of 5 machines was supplied by 31 on May 2015 of the year. The third batch of five Oplot-T tanks was in Thailand on May 21, 2016. The fourth batch of five Oplot-T tanks was delivered to Thailand on November 11 2016.
Apparently, the Ukrainian side is not able to complete the execution of this contract in 2017, and, quite possibly, it will be implemented next year.
