Spacecraft to fight asteroids: a project developed in RussiaIn the state rocket The Makeyev Center is currently developing reconnaissance and strike spacecraft to combat astroids. This was announced yesterday by the head of the center, V. Degtyar. His words are quoted in a message posted on the organization's website: "For the asteroid threat, we have completed a conceptual project to create two spacecraft: Kaissa and Kapkan. Kaissa is a reconnaissance spacecraft, and Kapkan is a strike spacecraft."

According to Interfax, currently, according to Degtyar, proposals are being prepared on the volume of funding for Kapkan.

The Makeev State Research Center had previously proposed to destroy asteroids threatening planet Earth using nuclear explosions, using the Russia-M and Soyuz-2 launch vehicles for the space delivery of warheads.

In the presentation of the SRC them. Makeev, held at the “Space Week” conference in Spain last August, reported that the use of nuclear explosive devices in rocket complexes would protect the planet from dangerous space objects having a diameter of up to three hundred meters when using Soyuz-2 missiles, and with a diameter of up to seven hundred meters - when using the Rus-M missiles.

The SRC specialists speak of two types of impact on flying asteroids: an explosion near an asteroid to change the flight path of a space body or a nuclear explosion directly on the surface of the asteroid — in order to split the latter into smaller bodies and deviate from the flight path.

At a preliminary stage, the SRC specialists developed the Kapkan spacecraft, which carries from one to several nuclear warheads, and designed the Kaissa reconnaissance device, which is designed to assess the chemical composition, structure and refine the trajectory of asteroids threatening the blue planet.

For launching reconnaissance and strike vehicles into orbit, Center specialists suggest using the developed launch vehicle Rus-M and the Soyuz-2 rocket.

“Roskosmos” previously suspended the ongoing work on the creation of the launch vehicle “Rus-M”, giving the following explanation: it duplicates both existing and developed launch vehicles.

What news! So it turns out that Russia has resumed work on creating combat spacecraft? Great news. It is clear that we need to defend ourselves from asteroids, they pose a real danger to the planet. But if we can do it against an asteroid, why not against an artificial space object? We need to google this topic.

But if it’s possible by an asteroid, why not by an artificial space object?

Soviet development - 100%. But if the asteroid falls into the territory or into the ocean off the coast of America, then it is NOT possible to shoot it down in any case !!!
        Let it fall! belay am
In general, the thing is necessary - Apophysis is close already, but again according to calculations - If you do not bring it down, it seems that it should fall into the territory of America !!!!! ????

about the shores of America it’s fun to get
an explosion near an asteroid to change the flight path of a comic body or a nuclear explosion directly on the surface of an asteroid - with the aim of splitting the latter into small bodies and deviating from the flight path.

this means if it flies by, then you can "fix". where to wink

Well you, Victor straight ... EVERYONE THINKED - YOU ONE SAID ... laughing laughing laughing

Russia is indeed participating in the international program to protect the Earth from the asteroid threat. An initial assessment of the chemical composition of the approaching asteroids is really worth under this program. Most likely, international control will be established over the launch of satellites under such a program. However, the very fact of the development of strike satellites will make it possible to produce them ... how to put it .... uh, uh ... a little more than planned in the framework of the international project ... besides, on "THESE UNSCHEDULED" "SUDDENLY" a coating appears that reduces the EPR ...

Their launch may look like this ... OH, AGAIN STARTED DOWN, THE ROCKET DEFLECTED AND THE TEAM FROM THE EARTH WAS DESTROYED, AND THE 4-RE SATELLITE PHOBOS GROUND 2.0 LOST (NO ONE CAN FIND). feel

Until they discover new types of energy and tame its power from such "asteroid fighters" there is little sense. Finding an asteroid of the sizes mentioned in the article in space is like trying to see a falling pebble through binoculars. The technological level of development of mankind has not yet reached the level so that the planet can be protected from the asteroid threat. It is another matter that I am glad that not only American specialists are working in this direction, but also ours.

It would be nice of course, but we must remember that we are located in the same latitudes as North America, and adjusting the trajectory, which is probably very difficult to determine and adjust the fall time accordingly, as a result 50 to 50 will fall on America or us. In general, this bike seems to me to cover the development of the shock spacecraft.

Drilling, lining with charges, winding with insulating tape, all this takes time, and therefore the beginning of work on the surface of the body at very remote distances, one might say in deep space. This requires interplanetary class technology, which no one on Earth has yet grown up to.

Obviously we are talking about warheads sent from orbit along the take-off trajectory towards the alien using booster blocks. Hence - a decent mass of spacecraft launched into orbit and, accordingly, the need for powerful spacecraft of the Rus-M type. But, unfortunately, the work on this launch vehicle has been frozen since October 2011. I, unfortunately, have not found any info confirming the rumors about the continuation of the work. Who knows, give a link, please.

But putting warheads into orbit (technically this is not a problem) can not be sent towards space wanderers, but left on duty in orbit ... Here you have a ready asymmetric response to the global American missile defense. They hide behind the Iranian threat, we are the asteroid threat. Although both threats are unlikely.

In my opinion, Russia just started a conversation with the United States in a political metalanguage like: "We understand that you understand, that we understand why you are planning all this." And asteroids are the tenth case, as well as the threat from Iran.

As for space weapons, developments have been, are being, and will be carried out, because we need to work for the future. There were already some good prototypes in Soviet times. And Russia has a terrible geophysical weapon in its "stash", capable of destroying an entire continent. And this is not science fiction! Gorbachev once spoke about this in an interview. He called it extremely inhumane, even terrible. That is why they abandoned it at the time. But it has not disappeared! The Americans simply hope that we, in our kindness, will never use it.

Or I don’t understand something, then let me correct. Of course, a stone in the USA garden is certainly not bad if the earth layers are not moved to the Urals. we see asteroids. when they whistle like bullets at a temple. This is first. Secondly, the damaging factors of a thermonuclear explosion: shock wave, temperature factor and radiation. All this is dangerous on earth and to us, people. An asteroid is very violet. American film music direct He said and showed how the space brotherhood of English-speaking veterans first docked, then drilled and laid, and then reeled up and initiated. So in two and a few hours of movie time, and in fact, this event will take at least six months. And we won’t know in advance. where this fluttered caused and we will not be able to collect a suitcase for such a long trip.
