Shoigu: Egypt offered interesting projects in the field of military cooperation

We note with satisfaction that Egypt is striving to use modern armaments and military equipment of Russian production for equipping the national Armed Forces. For our part, we strive to offer our Egyptian friends the most interesting projects in the field of military-technical cooperation,
The Minister said during a meeting with Egyptian colleague Sedka Sobhi Said Ahmed.

Thanks to the leaders of the two countries, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Egypt Abdel Fattah Said Al-Sisi, in bilateral relations, a clear upsurge is observed, there is a steady positive trend in the development of military cooperation,
He stressed.

He added that regular meetings of the presidents help the military departments adjust their work.

According to Shoigu, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation and Egypt "are stepping up work on the mutual exchange of military personnel for training in military universities of the two countries, aimed at increasing the number of joint exercises."

The Russian minister invited his colleague to participate in the Army-2017 military-technical forum and in the International Army Games.

Shoigu stressed that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation "is aimed at the further progressive development of relations between the defense departments of Russia and Egypt in various areas"

The Arab Republic of Egypt is Russia's most important strategic partner in North Africa and the Middle East. We are interested in Cairo’s leading position in strengthening regional security and stability,
he declared.

And where is the law of Israel written that he must have military bases in Africa? So they will rewrite the laws of Egypt in order to have a good military base in Russia, which will not allow a repeat of the scenario of Iraq, Libya and Syria in Egypt. But Israel will shout and shut up because you should not confuse your good with a stranger.

Or maybe you shouldn’t bring nonsense about the bases in Africa, but bring down a pension from our salaries from Israel, which pays you not a damn thing for those who work here?

Now, if Shoigu concludes military contracts with Egypt at least half the amount of Trump-KSA contracts, I will know who I vote for next. Presidential Election of the Russian Federation

Never conclude, do not dream! For the defense budget of Egypt, times in 15 less than that of the Saudis. And even then, due to handouts from the same Saudis, Qatar and the UAE, and these guys will not give money for Russian equipment

And you know how one of the Egyptian Presidents said, "There is one Arab country in the world, this is Egypt, the rest are tribes." So Egypt will not be on the sidelines, and even more so on handouts from Arabs.

What about the modernization and repair of the Soviet B and VT, which is in service with the Egyptian Armed Forces?
Currently, the United States is the main supplier of weapons for the APE Ground Forces. Significantly less weapons and military equipment comes from France and the UK.

However, maybe the Russian military-industrial complex will be able to occupy some of its niche in the defense potential of the Egyptian Armed Forces and will not be limited to the supply of Ka-52 Katran deck-based helicopters for two UDC?

The USSR had rich experience in transferring arms to Egypt. And it ended up that they washed us generously with slops ... and bent under the Americans. Flag in the hands of those who suffer free money !!!

They sent the USSR back to Sadat, since then we have not learned anything (the example of Venezuela), as our "friends" say, Israeli Jews - they put the wrong horse, which we continue to do next ....

We want to sell them the 52nd, and not only that. In Syria, the barmaley have been revealed from different angles, and dead enemies are the best indicators of weapon efficiency.

Maybe in the near future Egypt will transfer on loan one of the Mistral? I would not be surprised. It is not in vain that the Russian Government refused sanctions to the French side for the failure of the contract, agreed to the resale of helicopter carriers to Egypt. And one more fact, consistent with these actions of the Russian side. This is the Ka-52-e. After all, they were not abandoned at a time when they count money. Part of the Katrans to Egypt, and the rest to Sevastopol.

And why the Russian Navy, this UDC, where are you going to use it?
In addition, if you lease it on account of the Soviet debt, but we seem to have forgiven him no?

Be that as it may, but such a ship would not prevent Russia now off the coast of Syria. And not only there. All eastern Mediterranean. As long as our shipbuilders build such a ship, not a little water will leak in all Russian rivers. And so all the shipyards are now occupied by the construction of other ships. Therefore, I repeat. When the deadlines for commissioning even smaller vessels are constantly delayed, such a ship would be very useful now in the Russian Navy. And about the means ... So it's not in vain that I mentioned Katran earlier. Here is the measure of payment for the rental of a helicopter carrier. Moreover, such a vessel can be serviced in Russian shipyards. Indeed, it was not for nothing that one of the conditions of the Russian-French contract was the transfer of technical documentation to the Russian side. And this is another plus in negotiations with the Egyptians. After all, there are two helicopter carriers. And the second also requires maintenance
