Over 700 military personnel from Romania, Britain and the United States began four-day exercises in Romanian territorial waters, which will last until May 15. This was reported by Radio Romania, transmits TASS
Romanian frigate Regele Ferdinand ("King Ferdinand"), marine minesweepers Lt. Dimitrie Nicolescu ("Lieutenant Dimitrie Nicholascu") and Lupu Dinescu ("Lupu Dinescu") together with the American destroyer USS Oscar Austin (Oscar Austin) will conduct maneuvers against submarines and against threats from land.

American destroyer USS Oscar Austin
The purpose of the exercise is to increase the level of training of the crews of the participating ships and to strengthen the ability to interact between the NATO countries participating in the maneuvers, as well as between various categories of forces of the participating countries.
The Oscar Austin destroyer of the Arleigh Burke class is equipped with Tomahawk missile launchers, naval artillery systems and torpedoes launching, which allow destroying the enemy at a distance of more than 1000 km. The American ship arrived at the port of Constanta on Thursday for one-day parking; its crew will make visits to the command of the Romanian Navy and the establishment of the local administration.
