Until the end of September, the Pentagon can allocate 150 millions of dollars to support Ukraine through military lines, including training, lethal weapon defense equipment, machinery and equipment. At the same time, the USA also determines for what purposes the money received by Ukraine should not be spent.

Funds provided in accordance with this bill cannot be used for the supply of arms, training or rendering any other assistance to the Azov battalion.

Later, the Ukrainian authorities declared that there should be no illegal armed formations in the country, and the Ministry of Defense volunteer battalions offered to join the ranks of the armed forces of Ukraine.

The Russian Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the fighters of the Azov battalion on the grounds of crimes provided for in the articles “kidnapping”, “torture”, “using prohibited means and methods of warfare”.
