Fourth Esteut class submarine launched in Britain

In total, BAE Systems is to build for the Navy of the country an 7 Estiut-class submarine. The lead submarine was laid 31 January 2001 of the year, transferred to the British Navy in November 2010 of the year. The second submarine of the series, Embush, was part of the March 1 2013 marines. The third submarine of the series, “Artfall” (Artful), was transferred to the British Navy 10 December 2015 of the year and entered the fleet 18 March March 2016.

Currently, the Anneon 5-A submarine, the Agamemnon 6-A submarine and allegedly the Ajax 7-X are also in various stages of construction at the plant in Barrow-in-Furness.
Estuyt class submarines are the largest and most powerful multipurpose submarines of the royal fleet. They are intended both for operations in the fleet, and in isolation from the main forces. Submarines can be used to perform the tasks of fighting enemy ships and submarines, attacking ground targets, disembarking groups of combat swimmers and collecting intelligence information. The submarines will provide protection for new Queen Elizabeth class aircraft carriers, as well as existing Vanguard submarines and the promising Dreadnought British naval aircraft.

Submarines of this type, in contrast to operating ones, have low visibility and improved capabilities for operations in coastal shallow waters. The ship is 97 long and with a displacement of 7400 t equipped with a PWR-2 nuclear reactor from Rolls-Royce, which does not require a reboot of nuclear fuel during the entire 25-year service life. The armament of the submarine is represented by torpedoes "Sperfish" and cruise missiles "Tomahawk", which allow with high precision to destroy targets at a distance of up to 1200 nautical miles.

Yeah. All four nuclear-powered submarines are standing at the pier, it is urgent to launch a new one, so that at least one is.

Jokes are jokes, but still these are new boats and it’s no wonder that they are still undergoing sea trials. By the way, Severodvinsk was put into trial operation in December 2013, and they were completed in March 2016. Well, imagine that by 2024 the British will have 7 completely new multi-purpose boats, given that they have already laid down 6 boats. By that period and as part of the Russian Federation there will be 7 Ash-trees. And count by 2024-2030, NATO will have at least 30 new Virginia, at least 7 Astyut boats against 7 Ash trees, which is at best.

Jokes, it's just a way to somewhat relieve tension. It is clear that you need to take such news seriously, but if people forget how to joke, what will happen to the world?

They are intended for operations as part of naval groups, autonomous struggle against enemy ships and submarines, attacks on ground targets, as well as landing combat swimmers and intelligence information gathering. Nuclear submarines of the class “Estuit” are hardly noticeable, adapted for operations in shallow coastal waters. The 97-meter submarine has a displacement of 7400 tons; it is equipped with a Rolls-Royce PWR-2 nuclear reactor, which does not require nuclear fuel reloading, for 25 years. Estuary-class submarines are armed with Superfish torpedoes and Tomahawk cruise missiles, capable of hitting enemy targets with a high accuracy at a distance of up to 1200 nautical miles.

More surprised that the British themselves do the reactor. Did not know. But the weapons are traditionally American - axes and harpoon

In general, the nuclear submarine looks very harmonious.
But here, as they say in taste and color ...
As for me, it's ugly like this:

And for me it’s even interesting! Maybe we just hung on the nose shape like a 9mm bullet? Just like the silhouette of the T14 of Almaty, we are not used to it after the generation of almost identical silhouettes from T 50 to 90! ???
The draftsman would be in profile! ;)))) the cabin seems to have been put forward a lot .... torpedoes replaced with missiles?
