In Turkey, developed a new wheeled self-propelled howitzer

Turkish engineers have developed a new model of wheeled self-propelled howitzers. Makina ve Kimya Endüstrisi Kurumu (MKEK) announced that at the international exhibition of weapons IDEF 2017, which will be held from 9 to 12 in May in Istanbul, will officially present its new self-propelled gun Yavuz, the portal "Warspot" with reference to defense-blog.com

In Turkey, developed a new wheeled self-propelled howitzer

This is an 155-mm caliber 52 gun mounted on an SUV truck with an 6 × 6 wheel formula. In its layout, the Turkish howitzer is similar to the French SAES CAESAR and is identical to it in many ways.
Yavuz will be equipped with a semi-automatic recharge system, which will maintain the rate of fire at the level of 4 – 6 rounds per minute. Ammunition capacity will be relatively small - 18 shells (for comparison, the ammunition of the French "Caesar" is 36 shells).

The new Turkish howitzer is compatible with NATO standard 155-mm projectiles and can use active-reactive ammunition, which allows aimed fire at distances over 40 km. The mass of the self-propelled gun will be about 30 T (may vary depending on the level of the cabin reservation), the crew is five people.

For such self-propelled guns the future. Very mobile and fast-firing, especially among the Swedes ...

And there are also Indians ... They have self-propelled guns and the calculation is excellent ... I won’t put a link .. I saw this whole concert ..

Nope .. With the existing capabilities of the MLRS, tactical KR .. Battery howitzers-food. Even mobile.
Although .. if you consider the real threats of opponents such as ISIS, then yes .. Here both the rate of fire and deployment time are not particularly important.
In my opinion ... self-propelled guns can extend their life in the army and occupy a serious niche there only subject to the possibility of firing on the move, while maintaining accuracy and rate of fire.

From short stops. The only problem is the quick removal from the barrel stoppers and guidance mechanisms.

such a mobile howitzer is good, mainly when waging a positional war to smoke the enemy from cover or for a defensive war against previously explored targets. Vividly offensive operation is too vulnerable

Oh, how .. I’m interested .. a tank that would shoot from 125 mm smoothbore fluff, with a projectile speed of 1850m / s.
The numbers are important by the way .. They talk about the energy that a 45t tank digests and shoots on the move. For self-propelled guns, a more advanced calculator is required and precise route binding to the terrain and target.

Even rich Americans cannot afford this, it’s expensive to work on each RS target, all the more so now it’s necessary to prevent artillery from eating, a cart and a small cart.

      Are you talking about Archer?
He poses no threat to anyone. They made only 50 pieces. And not much more will be released.

The future is only in limited operations such as ATOs and various colonial wars ... GPS missiles will not shoot, and the fall of an aiming shell of 152mm will disable the calculation and the truck.

Archer has 8-9 shots per minute ... One throws an entire battery of the enemy ...

To suppress the battery of towed guns in the trenches, about nine Archers are needed (180/20 = 9 pcs. 20 - the number of shells in the automatic loader)
To destroy a sheltered battery of towed guns, 27 Archer are needed

The Archer is a stupid self-propelled gun. It’s too expensive. Therefore, it has practically no export prospects.

Archer made 50 pieces. Swedes need few of them. and nobody will take them. They stand like a steam locomotive.
        Useless contraption.

The French self-propelled artillery Caesar (17,5t) was developed for the RBF, instead of the 155-mm towed howitzers, its mass-size hars allow the transport of its S-130 and S-160 Transal vehicles (without ammunition and the right cabin section). The same carts (30t) as a cheap alternative to the protected 152/155-mm SG, especially for export to developing countries.
Nobody has bought a Swedish Archer (Norway canceled the order), except for the Swedes themselves, always distinguished by their original weapons.

The main activity is aircraft repair
On August 11, 2015, control and restoration repair, modernization and re-equipment for the new PS-90 engines of the Il-76 aircraft was completed by order of CJSC NPP Sfera.
In 2015, by order of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the enterprise began to develop and build an unmanned aerial vehicle according to the technical specifications of the Air Force. A prototype is designed and built, flight tests of UAVs are carried out in real operating conditions.
In 2015, the production of spare parts for the IL-76 and IL-114 aircraft continues.

Well, I do not like such systems where the shelling sector is deliberately limited. Cheaper than tracked, I agree, but considering implementation
ASUNO and other bells and whistles, the price of the base is less important.
Patency loses, security too, more time to deploy, collapse.
Although in conditions where the likelihood of a "response" is not high, it is still better than towed.
