Poland moves Leopard 2A5 tanks to the East

According to the online magazine Jane's Defense Weekly, the Polish Ministry of Defense decided to transfer the 1st Warsaw tank brigade named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko for recently received German tanks Leopard 2A5. This brigade is located in the eastern outskirts of Warsaw and is part of the 16-th Pomeranian Mechanized Division named after King Casimir IV Jagiellon of the Polish Army.

Poland moves Leopard 2A5 tanks to the East

Tanks Leopard 2AXNX west of Poland near the German border. As a result, the most modern tanks of the Polish army will be moved to the East.

At present, both tank battalions of the 1 Tank Brigade are armed with Polish-made tanks RT-91 Twardy (an upgraded version of the licensed T-72М1 tank). After replacing them with a X-NUMXA2, the RT-5 tanks will be transferred to the 91 th Gizhitsky Mechanized Brigade named after Zavishi of the Black 15-th Pomeranian Mechanized Division, stationed in Gizica near the border with the Russian Kaliningrad Region. The 16 brigade of the T-15М72, which is in service, will be transferred to both tank battalions of the 1 brigade, which is losing its Leopard 34A2.

This castling has been carried out since the beginning of April 2017, the training of the personnel of the brigade for these tanks was begun in January. It is assumed that the construction and repair of the necessary infrastructure in Wesole will take two to three years.

The 105 tanks of the Leopard 2A5 and the 14 tanks of the Leopard 2A4 were transferred to Poland in the 2014-2015 from the presence of the German army. Earlier, in 2002-2003, Warsaw received the 128 Leopard 2A4 from Germany, which are equipped with two tank battalions of the armor-general of the Armor Cavalry Brigade named after General of the Army Stanislav Mask of the 10-th Luba Armor Cavalry Division in Svetosheve near the German border.

Currently, Poland is discussing the possibility of acquiring an additional 50-60 Leopard 2 tanks in order to equip another tank battalion. But in Germany, the stocks of tanks Leopard 2 have already been exhausted. In this regard, the option of buying Leopard 2A4, stored by the Spanish army, was worked out. But it was abandoned because of the unsatisfactory technical condition of the tanks.

And the meaning of the technique to drive? Enough crews to change it.
It seems like they (I mean NATO in general) had a topic about creating MTO bases on the basis of which there will be so-called "quick reaction forces" unfold.
That is, they are simply transferring personnel, and all the weapons already in place are waiting for them (and Russian landing too wassat ).

102 Leopard 2A5 and 14 Leopard 2A4 are removed from the 34th MBR. 11th MD (Jagon, a city in western Poland) and indulge in the 1st TBR. Warsaw Tank Brigade named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko (Warsaw).

Leopard 2A5 tanks (two battalions of 58 vehicles each - a total of 102 Leopard 2A5 and 14 Leopard 2A4)

I have been addressing this fact for a long time, as soon as I took 11 volumes of the Great Patriotic War and the “ZVO” number in my childhood — this is the composition of the booties of the NATO countries (and the Poles apparently already switched to it).
    58 cars each
    - i.e. there are 58 tanks in the Polish tank battalion, in our TB (if it enters the regiment - 31 tanks, in the separate brigade - 41 tanks).
When will we switch to the black squadron of our tank and motorized rifle battalions?
In Kaliningrad, the Russian Federation has two SMEs. in each one TB - 41 pcs., total 82 tanks, this is 1/2 less than in one
1st Warsaw Tank Brigade named after Tadeusz Kosciuszko
    - 116 tanks.
Given that German tanks were probably transferred not just from storage, but after modernization, we are inferior to them in quality.
What can we say about the tanks located in the Baltic states (Challengers-2, Leclerc, Abrams of the latest modifications), and they will also be met by 2 MSBRs. in the Leningrad region with the same weapons as in the Kaliningrad region.
The situation would have been saved by our Br. AA, but it is most likely “imprisoned” not against NATO tanks, but for the transfer of the 76th high-altitude airborne infantry regiment near Pskov.

In periodicals, by the way, I read that in Ukraine they wanted to transfer all TBs to a 4-company company under Yanukovych, but they managed to do this only in the BrBO in the Crimea, which was part of the Ukrainian Navy.
The experience of the Second World War apparently taught us nothing.
In American and British TB, for the sake of justice, I must say 50 tanks each.

Yes, not in this regard, the Poles are doing everything right, they calculated what chance the Polish rusty T-72 (locally made) against Russian rusty T-72 tanks in the Kaliningrad region (or against the Belarusian rusty T-72 / T-80). Therefore, they decided to transfer to German rusty (but slightly repaired).
The Poles will soon get rid of the T-72, only the Germans are unlikely to give them a license for the production of Leopards, so the Poles will then be left without tank production.
In general, I envy the German armored industry, almost all of Europe drive their tanks, the American ones (M48 / M60) remained only with the poor and / or large Portugal, Greece, and Turkey. And their own tanks produce a small number of countries (fingers of one hand are enough). The warehouses of the Bundeswehr with used tanks were already empty, and in 2011 Belgium and the Netherlands completely abandoned their tank units (they also had German tanks), did they already all drink it up?

The Poles adopted this name from the "empirialists", in the Western army of the USA, France, Spain, reconnaissance regiments / brigades with tanks and BMWs I call "armored vehicles". The NDP has never had such a thing, during the years of the Cold War there were 11 MDs and individual brigades, they decided to "become monkey-like" to be "closer" in spirit to NATO.
An example of the structure of the military division regiment of the United States Army regiment http://pentagonus.ru/publ/otdelnyj_bronekavalerij
      skij_polk_sukhoputnykh_vojsk_ssha / 3-1-0-1397
The main combat missions of these regiments are reduced to three:
      1. Conducting military intelligence (reconnaissance in battle, surveillance, search, ambush).
      2. Fulfillment of the tasks of combat and guard guard of the front line, columns on the march, patrolling the defense area.
      3. Actions as a mobile operational tank group of the army corps (raid detachment, bypassing the detachment, anti-tank reserve, pursuit group, tank reserve).
      https://otvet.mail.ru/question/14900145
But the Poles pass off ordinary mechanized units as reconnaissance units and along the way do not know the root of the name and purpose of the armored units, I won’t be surprised if such regiments / brigades did not appear in the Armed Forces at the time.
