Syrian government troops in the city of Dar'a conduct a special operation. This city is located near the Jordanian border and is considered one of the centers of the opposition. As reported by Reuters, in several areas of the city heard explosions and machine-gun fire.
“The bombing began at dawn after the shootings. For two weeks, we have heard the military surround Dar'a, ”said Hussam Izzedin, a Syrian human rights activist. He also added that the city of Dar'a again begins to play one of the main roles in the uprising. “The demonstrations resumed, and the Free Syrian Army guards protestors in different parts of the city,” Izzedin said.
According to another opposition activist who refused to give his name, two soldiers of the Free Syrian Army were injured during an attack by government forces. The official authorities have not yet commented on this situation.
At the same time, the Russian Foreign Ministry, referring to the Russians in the city of Idlib (Syria), reports that part of the city has been captured by militants. "According to the Russians living in Idlib, some of its districts are captured by gangster groups that rob private houses and government agencies," the microblog of the Russian foreign ministry said on Twitter.
