The October Revolution of Igor Dodon

29
From the point of view of adherents of Western democracy, it is not at all clear what else this Moldova needs to become another democratic and economically successful torch in the expanses of Eastern Europe. From the "sovok" of Moldova into the "cute-sounding" Moldova turned? - turned. From the "backward" Cyrillic to the "progressive" Latin switched? - crossed. About the "terrible Russian threat" talked about? - spoke. Moldovan language the main part of the population called the Romanian? - called. About the passionate desire to be in the European Union stated? - stated. Well, what do they say, still need to become free, independent, economically developed and European? ..

These questions are being asked today by a very narrow group of European “partners” of Chisinau, who at least know about the existence of Moldova. All other European circles do not care about Moldova, as well as its economy, which, during the steps of the so-called European integration, has shrunk to a state that is called collapse. And with each new year of “integration” into Europe, where the path is now ordered, but where some Moldovan officials with Romanian passports in their pockets continue to try to pull the country, the economic situation in Moldova is only aggravated. And this is not unfounded.

Here are some numbers and facts about the state of affairs in the once successful Soviet Republic. To begin with - in terms of the global market. The Moldovan financial and economic system, as the data of the largest international rating agencies show, has long ceased to be of interest to the global market. Moody's assigns a B3 rating to the Moldovan economy, which corresponds to an economy with speculative debt obligations subject to extremely high credit risk. This is below the level of creditor confidence in countries such as, for example, Nicaragua and Uganda and at the level of Zambia and the Republic of the Congo.

Translated from economic to universal language, this means only one thing: hey, world, are there any other masochists who are ready to give a loan to Chisinau?

Fitch and S&P, arranging an absentee roll call with Moody's, give an unequivocal answer to this question: there are none! These rating agencies simply struck Moldova (Moldova) off their rating lists so that lenders would not waste time discussing the possibility of providing the Moldovan government with at least some amount of credit.

The Moldavian economy is among the six countries (ibid, for example, Tajikistan), whose economies “keep” on money transfers by citizens of the country working abroad. For 2016 year in Moldova, the so-called migrant workers have transferred 1,079 billion dollars. This is equivalent to about 15% of the Moldovan economy (IMF estimate). At the same time, experts note a decline in remittances in dollar terms, which is connected with the fall of the ruble against the US currency (and the largest flow of funds comes from Moldovan citizens working in the Russian Federation - the data of the International Organization for Migration say that around 67 % of Moldovan migrant workers work in Russia). For example, in 2008, the amount of remittances to Moldova amounted to more than 1,65 billion dollars.

Even despite the steady growth of the economy in 2013, a record 8,9%, the Moldovan financial and economic system could not find a course in which growth rates would remain at the level that allows the state to get out of the deepest economic crisis. The anti-Russian sanctions supported by official Chisinau played their role here, which a priori looked suicidal for the Moldovan economy itself. More than 80% of Moldovan exports accounted for Russia. After the response of the Russian sanctions measures, the Moldovan export market went into a state of coma. Together with the export market of Moldova, the remnants of what is usually called economics also fell. The main reason is that about 30% of Moldova's GDP is income from the agricultural sector. And in Russia, first of all, it was agricultural products. When the supply routes were closed, a new blow occurred in the country's economy.

The situation began to improve only after the role of the main Moldovan diplomat was assumed by the winner of the presidential elections in Moldova, Igor Dodon. The Russian market opened the door after Dodon’s trips to Moscow and quite productive negotiations. Following the results of 2016, the National Bureau of Statistics reported a new increase in the country's GDP - by 4,1%. And this is after a real steep peak in 2015 compared to 2014. According to the International Monetary Fund (IMF), the economy of Moldova then slipped by as much as 22%! Of course, the exchange rate decline also played its role.

Realizing that economic growth in Moldova is in no way connected with the fervor of statements about European integration, it is directly connected with Moldovan-Russian relations, then pragmatics entered the business.

Last week it became known that Chisinau is actually ready to abandon the idea of further movement towards Brussels. At the very least, President Dodon is precisely that. Visiting the capital of European bureaucracy earlier, Igor Dodon openly stated that the European Union had actually deceived Moldova. According to him, the overwhelming majority of the country's citizens were disappointed in the so-called “European dream”. Even the long-awaited visa-free regime with the EU turned out to be in fact zilch, since the Moldovans, when crossing the EU border, now require a whole package of other documents, reducing “integration” to the next zero account: biometric passport, return ticket and cash currency, credit cards, letter of guarantee or invitation. Surprisingly, when evacuating from EU, European customs officials require a certificate of scholarship from Moldovan students (this is not a joke, but evidence of many, if I may say so, participants in the process).

Attention is drawn to the statement of the President of Moldova newspaper "News"in which he defined the Moldovan course on Eurasian integration. According to Dodon, the new cooperation procedure being worked out today in the EAEU may allow Moldova to become an observer at the Eurasian Economic Union by October of this year. It is on the autumn of 2017 that the next summit meeting of the EAEU participants is scheduled. Isn't the “October revolution” for Chisinau? The change of vector in favor of the EAEU is a turn that looks quite revolutionary.

The October Revolution of Igor Dodon

Earlier, on April 3, Dodon signed a memorandum of intent and economic cooperation with the head of the EAEU Economic Commission Tigran Sargsyan. An application for admission of Moldova to the EAEU as an observer has already been filed.

Now expect Western statements about the “Dodon regime” and “the intrigues of the Kremlin” with all the consequences for Moldova trying to economically reorient itself?

Dear, I would not be in a hurry with conclusions. First of all, I’ve done things while striving for rapprochement with Russia, but Yanukovych said the same a lot and tried to do something. So you know.

Mr. Dodon, stop taking people by the nose and take them to the streets. Before whom to display? Before thieves and criminals? The people chose you to forever remove the thieves' power, and not play with its barons in all sorts of gatherings and political games. And here the electoral system, you just need to dissolve the criminal parliament and condemn all its members. Otherwise, Plahotniuc will order your murder himself and dump everything on Renato Usatii.

Dodon has NO authority to dissolve Parliament. All real power - the Parliament, the Government, the Constitutional Court - against it, was elected back in 2014 with Euro hopes, BEFORE the theft of a billion, transferred to the shoulders of the people by a special law. They are supported by euroguads.

The fact that the bottomless Russian market opens is a powerful trump card for the President. BUT - on April 21, a wall of wet snow and frost fell upon blooming gardens. ALL trees are broken off, harvest ....... This has never happened ....

Not all, but more. I said that Dodon is waiting for parliamentary elections in order to get the majority of socialists there, and then his presidency will make some sense. He clearly does not want to go on the path of rapprochement with the EU, but on the contrary, intends to build relations close to the Russian Federation, which is for Moldova It has always been logical and correct, especially considering the fact that more than 80% of all Moldovans working abroad work in the Russian Federation.

In general, I agree with you. Bravura article. This is despite my pro-Russian views. In my opinion, the facts are drawn to a certain line. The author, the article began very well, with the right questions, perfectly assessed the economy and the situation in Moldova as a whole. But the ode to Igor Dodon causes discomfort. This is despite the fact that I voted for him. But according to the principles of "lesser evil" and "anti-Western." Because he is pro-Russian because of his political points. And the campaign against him continues to this day. Each of his unsuccessful statements lingers. Moreover, it’s so fierce that in his defense to become - it’s as if to prove to be a degenerate, well, in a certain part of the population, I don’t even want to argue with them because it is pointless. However, I draw the attention of the author to the background - he is not in Dodon’s favor and despite his efforts to be the president of the entire population, a considerable part of him does not recognize him as such, it’s not hard to guess how the era of Stalin turns into sabotage.

Dodon has NO authority to dissolve Parliament. All real power - the Parliament, the Government, the Constitutional Court - against it, was elected back in 2014 with Euro hopes, BEFORE the theft of a billion, transferred to the shoulders of the people by a special law. absolutely right. The post of president is a nominal post, but the government does not actually give it to him. He can award insignia to citizens, hold meetings, and even mobilize the army in the event of war and emergency as last week (which he did). But then again - the real event of the October Revolution is a great action and social transformation. Dodon did not do any conversion, and there is no hint of it. The elite is completely rotten and it is its offspring, it relies on part of this same elite. And the people with him until he disappointed him again. But none of the elite really wants to rely on the people. The U-turn towards Russia is certainly significant, and very beneficial, but in essence it is declarative. For a real showdown will take place only when the Parliament will have a majority of its party and the Government chosen by it. Until then, it's all beautiful, but not fundamental.

The fact that the bottomless Russian market opens is a powerful trump card for the President. BUT - on April 21, a wall of wet snow and frost fell upon blooming gardens. ALL trees are broken off, harvest ....... This has never happened ....

But this incidentally is a very important event, which for some reason no one paid attention and did not write a single note. For Moldova there were 2 days of a nightmare. Those who do not remember even the old people. Chisinau resembles a ruined city. There are a lot of trees in it that could not stand the wet snow broke, capsized, there were extensive collapse of poles and communication lines, the Internet, phones. On Friday, force majeure - no one could get to work. I am including. Almost all institutions have stopped working. Shops are closed or almost empty. Of course, there were creatures who found strength laughing at all this, or taxi drivers who increased prices by 200-300%. But there were those who, on their own, tried to clear the roads. Therefore, in some yards cleared, and in some still rubble. Almost no one saw the city’s services. The city these days resembles a sawmill. The crop was badly damaged. It will be an agricultural disaster. I do not know what Moldova will be able to export, and what Dodon can then brag about. He type mobilized the army to fight the disaster, just what she did and where I acted I don’t know (maybe they cleaned the government’s cottages and main buildings in the city). On TV channels one nonsense and complete confusion of leaders. The people showed their complete social corruption and lack of solidarity and solidarity in a difficult moment. Remember this. Because at the critical moment or in the war (God forbid) the same thing will happen. There is no single people in Moldova. The principle of "each for himself" and "my hut from the edge" reigns. It’s sad to write this.

The catastrophe is still in the eyes and it is deeper than the material damage caused by the elements.

In Moldova, if I am not mistaken, a parliamentary republic. So the president does not have full levers of governing the country. And the parliament there is clearly pro-European, they will not let him turn in the direction of the Eurasian Union.

The next parliamentary elections in November 18, at 16 after the election of Dodon, promised early elections in 17. It should be noted that the elections of 14 years were won not by the pro-Europeans, despite all the administrative resources, but by an overseas iron hand, the contradictions between the vassals were eliminated and the pro-Western hodgepodge came to power. Dodon fell into the gears of European integration, like an iron nut, and they began to slow down and slip, but the European integration was not stopped. It remains to be expected that Dodon, as president, will be able to at least reduce the tucks to a level that will allow him to choose a parliament loyal to him. Well, if it weren’t, on the planned roadmap to Great Romania, there would be a meager little step. Romanian police bases are already open. Since November 2013, the contingent of the Moldovan military - 30-40 people - has been constantly participating in the NATO peacekeeping mission in Kosovo. In June 2015, the third group of peacekeepers was sent to Kosovo. Prior to this, several dozen Moldovan peacekeepers - sappers, rear services agents - were sent to Iraq. In June 2013, the Moldovan parliament ratified an agreement on military cooperation with Romania. According to the document, the Romanian gendarmerie can gain access to the territory of a neighboring country in the event of "riots".
The Moldovan authorities are actively discussing the possibility of opening a NATO bureau in Chisinau. In August15, Romanian Minister of Defense Mircea Soula, after meeting with his Moldovan counterpart Anatole Salaru, said that this was necessary "to simplify the harmonization and restructuring of the army of Moldova and bring it into line with NATO standards." In response, Salaru said that joining NATO is a country's long-term goal. The president of Moldova, Nikolai Timofti, also spoke in favor of opening a representative office of the North Atlantic Alliance.

I have big doubts about the need for a quorum to be convened at the next election to govern the Dodon party. The constitutional transformation of the elections has begun. Refusal of lists by parties and by a specific person from a certain area. And this is from the filing of Plahotniuc. I am sure that this is done to keep the elusive power, just because it will not be done. So victory will again be taken away from under the nose of the people.

2017-2018 will be the year of Moldova, just as 2013-2014 became the year of Ukraine.
100 years ago, in March 1918, the "voluntary" unification of Moldova with Romania took place (under the control of the Romanian "green" men).
The presence of Dodon, an open pro-Russian agent in power in Moldova and a jubilee, the 100th anniversary of “unification” with Romania can finally move the pro-Romanian forces in Moldova and the Romanians - the unionists in Romania itself, finally go all out and go all in - give the union !
The factors seem to be good: the Federation seems to be unable to do anything; Dodon is powerless; Moldovan police and the army will neutrally look at the crowds of Romanian-green men armed with the Romanian military commissar, Jivropa will not see this process at point blank range, the States will laugh, Ukraine will welcome, Transnistria will stand aside.
Since you can’t prepare another such process in a month, the work most likely begins right now - I wonder if the Federation and Transnistria are ready for this show? The main sight, most likely, is to wait in February, and not in October.
The main thing, because it is difficult (impossible) to oppose to the thousands of armed green men of Romanian origin who will rush to Moldova along the bridges over the Prut - who will stop them? Borders and customs? Yes, they just move in order not to get inadvertently hurt.
There is really one point: are the unionists not exaggerated, are they really ready to die for their idea, or are they all empty talkers?
This winter, we’ll finally find out.

Well, join Russia along with the PMR. With us you will preserve your ethnic identity, language and culture, for we have a Federation. And in Romania you will have the status you yourself know which - a depressed territory with irregular Romanians. In Romania, you will always be second-class people, because Romanians, as they were Nazi dogs, will remain them. And the Moldavians fought with the Nazis, created a powerful partisan movement. Only the Russian peacekeepers in Transnistria and the Moldavian Partisan Militia can oppose the Romanian occupiers. As part of Russia, Moldova was a blooming garden. As part of Romania, you will be a garbage dump with a poor population.

You were a little bit mistaken with the address: I am a Transnistrian in every sense of the word: by nationality, citizenship and civic position.
It's about another: the world occupied by Syria, Korea, Ukraine and even more than that, it seems that interesting events can happen that might unfold (or may not unfold) in the Republic of Moldova (or in the right language, Moldova).
The centenary of any event is not a joke, the next reason to finally drag in what remains of Moldova to Romania (as a piece of land, not as a republic) will have to wait another hundred years.
Now the most important question is: can, using the right moment, gentlemen unionists, Romanian Natsik of all stripes go into battle, literally invade Moldova, overthrow the pro-Russian Dodon and proclaim a new unification. Will the Romanian president (like Putin in the Donbass) have enough testicles to support this idea and open the coffers of the Romanian military, because it is clear that nothing will work without weapons. T. Ye. The main question is how passionate are the unionists, or are they just practical impotent, talkers from politics.
After all, if they do not use this reason (and the reason is really big) it has big consequences for the whole of Southeast Europe: Romania - will never increase in size and its theoretical passionarity will be zero,; Moldova will remain a kind of sovereign worthless buffer,; Transnistria will hang out in an incomprehensible state; Ukraine will continue to feel the affectionate embrace of the Federation on its western borders in the form of a limited grouping of troops in Transnistria.
If on the contrary, everything has changed, Moldova will disappear, Transnistria will gain independence, Ukraine will receive, in addition to the Russian army base in Transnistria, also Great Romania on its western border with its cargo of claims (to Ukraine).
We will receive answers to all this in the winter, February-March.
It is possible that there will be a zilch, then I personally will come to Bucharest and shout to the entire central square :: unionists, you are impotent !!!!))))).

Moldova is historically the territory of Russia, it is our sphere of influence, no matter what its current status is - a sovereign state, or a region of Russia. This is our land and our area of interest. I do not think that Russia will allow any Romania there to touch our territory. Now is not the 90s and not 1918.

interesting option. But I have doubts. Agree - unionists (stubborn) among the people are still a minority. They would have to wait one generation - then yes. In the meantime, there is still an older generation. This time. Second - are local kings ready to move in? The same Plahotniuc - he is for himself, and not for Russia or the EU. He simply juggles these factors to gain power and money. While corruption is not weak in Romania, things are better there than in Moldova. And where is the guarantee that he will not go under the knife after uni? It is useful while in power and moves Moldova into the arms of Romania. And after what will it be needed? There, their hungry wolves lick their lips, and the locals will not be able to resist them.
And three - do not discount the fact that there will be protests and resistance, especially in a Russian-speaking society. Plus a big hemorrhagic with Gagauzey. And also opposition Beltsy. Not everything is so joyful for the green men from Romania ...
In general .. we are at a turning point in life, the world is breaking and changing, anything can happen.
