A militant of an IG group (banned in the Russian Federation), who had previously fought in Syria and planned to commit a terrorist act in the CIS during the Victory Day celebrations, was detained on the territory of Kyrgyzstan, reports Interfax report of the press service of the National Security Committee of the Republic (GKNB).
On Thursday, as part of counter-terrorism measures taken to curb the channels of entry of militants by international terrorist organizations, a militant was detained, born 1994, born in the Osh region (south of Kyrgyzstan),
told the press service.
“It was established that the detainee was recruited in 2013 year and transferred to Syria, where he joined the gangs and participated in the hostilities in Syria. It was also established that the detainee was personally involved in the mass executions of prisoners carried out by the militants, ”the statement reads.
According to the ministry, “in February 2016 of the year after additional training, the detainee was ordered to commit a terrorist attack on the territory of the CIS, during the celebration of Victory Day”.
A criminal case. The detainee was placed in the investigative isolator of the GKNB.
