The pilots of the MA POTF have worked landing on the deck of the ship in drift and on the move.
There were a total of about 30 landings during the day and at night.
It is reported that "as part of the combat training activities, besides landing on the deck, the helicopter pilots worked out tactical methods of searching and tracking submarines of the conditional enemy, and also interacted with the crew of the ship when performing anti-submarine missions."
As the press service noted, “landing on a ship is one of the most difficult types of training for flight personnel of naval aviation, therefore, first, pilots work out airfield flights, then en-route, and only after that they are allowed to board the ship”.
Special attention in the crew training program was paid to flights at night. At night, helicopter pilots performed instrument approaches, flying over the sea and covering the ship from the air, added in the area.
