The commander of the combined forces in Europe, American General Curtis Scaparotti called on the Pentagon to form a full-fledged armored division in the Old World, as well as to expand the intelligence capabilities of the American contingent, according to News.
According to Scaparotti, American forces in Europe "urgently need a variety of reinforcements." He is very concerned about the "increased mobility of the Russian armed forces, which they regularly demonstrate during surprise checks of combat readiness." Therefore, first of all, the general needs “additional intelligence capabilities.”
In this regard, we are talking about the transfer to Europe of “Boeing RC-135 radio reconnaissance aircraft, U-2 high-altitude photo reconnaissance and high-altitude drones Northrop Grumman RQ-4 Global Hawk.
In addition, Scaparotti proposed to deploy a full-fledged armored division in Strom Light on an ongoing basis. In the meantime, the Americans have to solve the tasks of deterrence by the forces of one motorized rifle brigade "Stryker" and one airborne brigade.
