MCL launch complex: 240 missiles with 4 tons of deadly cargo
The rest of the MCL is the 5x5 trailer with 4 launchers, each of which contains 60 122-mm missiles. 10 hydraulic stabilizers block recoil from firing. The fire control system is fully computerized, and the shooter can indicate the exact number of missiles to launch. An integrated navigation system and a global positioning system for each of the four pillars ensure firing accuracy.
Apparently, the MCL is equipped with 122-mm missiles TRB-122, manufactured by the Turkish company Rocketsan and presented in this weapons two modifications. One option has a point fuse. The other is equipped with a non-contact fuse, which makes it possible to cover the target area with steel fragmentation rain. Both variations have a range of up to 35 km at sea level. The MCL is able to fire all 240 shots in less than two minutes. The total mass of the striking element in this case will be 3919 kg of explosives and steel shrapnel. Other mobile rocket launchers are inferior to MCL by 6 times the number of missiles. In this case, the MCL is able to be served by only one gunner.
The disadvantages of MCL are the small caliber of the rocket, which limits its radius of action and the payload (presumably, about 16 kg of explosive). The enormous size of the MCL makes it difficult to transport the system to remote battlefields, especially considering the wheeled version of the trailer.
In February, Jobari Defense Systems demonstrated Twin Cradle Launcher (TCL), on which two frames were installed, each with four 300-mm Rocketsan TR-300 missiles with warheads with increased firepower and a range of more than 97 km.
