In the BBO organized air battles over the Gulf of Peter the Great

TASS cites the statement of Vladimir Matveyev:
Pilots learned to detect, intercept and fight with aviation conditional opponent. The flights took place as part of a flight tactical exercise, in which the crews of fighter interceptors MiG-31 of the Kamchatka Pacific Naval Aviation Base took part fleet. To conduct joint training flights, Kamchatka pilots flew more than 2 thousand kilometers to the airfield of the air forces of the Air Force and Air Defense Army in Primorye.

At supersonic speeds, the tasks of intercepting airplanes of a conditional enemy in the far distance were worked out. It is known to work out the elements of maneuvering with large angles of roll and pitch.

From the report:
Pilot air battles conducted on limiting parameters sighting system and approach worked in the daytime and nighttime.

The press service said that all the standards of the fighter-interceptor crews were met.

Every day I learn something new about this unique car. When passing through Israel, the MIG-25 pilot walked at a speed of 3400 km per hour. Amazing speed !!! Did any of the modern pilots squeeze the maximum speed of this aircraft?

And they were there, in those parts? As for speed - as far as I remember, 3200, an option for intercepting black bird. Togo, about 10 hours were prepared for the flight, and the guys were ready for 5 minutes.

When fully armed, the fighter developed a speed of 3000 km / h. Without weapons, the speed increased by 10-15%. American scientists, conducting tests, proved that the R15B-300 engine reaches speeds of up to 3400 km / h. The maximum speed of the MiG 25 reached 3600 km / h. When flying over the Sinai Peninsula, both sides recorded this speed on Soviet aircraft in 1972. Http://militaryarms.ru/voennaya-texnika/a
viaciya / istrebitel-perexvatchik-mig-25 / The MiG-25RB from the 63rd Separate Aviation Reconnaissance Unit received the real glory of “non-crash aircraft”. In May 1971, scouts began regular flights over Israel. For the first time, at the entrance to the airspace of Israel, the Israeli MiGs opened fire on Soviet MiG-25RBs. To no avail. The Phantom squadron was raised to intercept, but the heavy Phantom fighter-bomber was by no means inclined to conquer the stratosphere. Having shot all of their missiles, the Phantoms returned back with nothing. Then the Mirage link took off into the air - extremely lightweight, unrefueled, they had to rise to a height of more than 20 km for the successful launch of their missiles. But the Israelis did not succeed in this maneuver either: the missiles launched after them could not catch the MiG.

This story was Mar. Thira is right. It was the time of the Arab-Israeli wars. This plane was leaving the air defense missile, on arrival it was not possible to immediately open the cockpit lantern, it was necessary to cut it, because it simply melted to the hull from heat heating due to its high speed (as far as I know, the plane reached a speed of 3600 km / h). here was a great speed. Well, this is not surprising, since the MIG-25 engines are practically direct-flow engines, which makes it possible to completely remove restrictions on thrust growth. The aircraft will accelerate and accelerate until the fuselage skin melts. The 31st engines are no longer so, more economical and reliable.

Exactly. The Mig-25 R15B-300. All motor as one afterburner. Mig-31 - D-30F6. Bypass. With great simplification, we can say that the "fighter version" of the engine that is on the IL-76

and how many invisibles were conditionally destroyed ??
  5. Everything would be fine, but we need new planes. Rest on the Soviet legacy for a long time will not work.
