The structure of the department created on the basis of the internal troops and special units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) was finally approved by a decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated September 3 of 2016 of the year.
More than 340 thousand people serve in Rosguards. Of these, almost 160 thousands of employees were taken from the MOI. Together with the people passed the tasks of the units in which they served.
Rosgvardi units are in every region of the country: 84 territorial bodies are deployed in the regions of the Russian Federation. Tasks to ensure the safety of citizens and the protection of their property within the agency continues to carry out private security.
Every day, the fighters of the Rosguards risk their lives by participating in the fight against terrorism. According to the press service of the Ministry, in 2016, under the general leadership of the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, they destroyed 125 thugs, eliminated more than 300 of their camps, caches and shelters.
Our troops guard important state facilities, including the nuclear industry, control the turnover weapons in the country, provide the population with a range of public services. According to Zolotov, there is also a development of new types of equipment, which has no analogues in other power structures. Among them is a mobile combined complex of engineering and technical means of protection for equipping weapons and ammunition storage sites, new elements of mobile command posts and a special combat reconnaissance vehicle.
For the special forces units, tests of the Patrol armored vehicle (created on the basis of all-wheel drive KamAZ) are being completed.
PREPARATION
Officers for the Russian Guard are trained at the Novosibirsk, Perm, St. Petersburg and Saratov military institutes of the National Guard.
In addition, at 17 universities of the Ministry of Defense of Russia, 20 institutes and schools of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, military personnel and employees can improve their professional qualifications in various programs.
Among the many different occupations, servicemen of the Russian Guard are trained in diving, mountain and parachute training, undergo courses for aircraft gunners, artillery spotters, and control of unmanned aerial vehicles.
UNDERWATER SPECIAL FORCES
The best combat swimmers of Rosgvardia are servicemen under the contract of the Vityaz special purpose center, veterans of military operations. More than half of them have the right to wear krapovogo beret.
So, March 10 in the Moscow region at Amerevsky career was a training of special forces swimmers. Were conducted diving descents from the surface of the ice.
According to the legend of the exercises, the main task was to find a conditional object at the bottom of the reservoir. Search area - 10 000 sq. m. A special ice-hole was cut through. Special Forces commenced the search method "circle".
After the enemy device was found, the divers designated its location and the uninhabited remote-controlled underwater vehicle was lowered. With the help of it, they established surveillance of the lighthouse. Divers moved away from the object to a safe distance in order to avoid injuries in the event of an uncontrolled detonation.
Specialists from the demining team were called in to disarm and preserve the beacon. The object was lifted to the surface, neutralized and handed over to intelligence experts.
AIR SPECIALIZES
The best paratroopers of the Rosguard also serve in the Vityaz special forces center. Many of them have earned the right to wear a krapovogo beret in the most difficult ordeal, the exam at the limit of human capabilities.
So, 14 March in Moscow region was a parachute training session, where each special forces soldier made five parachute jumps from a military transport helicopter Mi-8. It became a kind of finals of a multi-day gathering, in which every special forces sold at least 60 jumps.
The first stage
Landing from very low altitudes is 200 m. This is a “special” exercise: only those who have at least 25 jumps can perform it. When performing it, the fighter may have lines slid around and he must get out of this difficult position with a used movement.
In addition, as the officers of Rosgvardi noted, it is very important to “not enter the lines” of a comrade, that is, not to hook the next fighter in the chain with your parachute. If necessary, slip away from the collision, and in case of failure of the main parachute, open the emergency dome.
During the flight, the paratrooper must turn his face upwind and select a suitable touchdown point, and most importantly - not to encounter an obstacle.

instructor in parachute training special forces "Vityaz"
According to the special forces officers, all these actions are given only three seconds. This exercise trains the psychological stability of the special forces. So fighters Rosgvardii can quickly penetrate the enemy object.
The second stage
Landing from a height of 3000 m. Parachute deployment delay - 40 seconds. They carry weapons, containers with special equipment, food and ammunition. The landing took place on an unequipped site - an ordinary forest clearing.
The fighters used a special parachute system STAYER. The wing-type parachute is used by fighters of only elite special forces of Russia. This system is designed for landing from 400 – 8000 m heights at speeds up to 255 km / h (with immediate commissioning) and up to 350 km / h (with a delay in opening 3 seconds and more).
FAST SPECIAL TROOPS
As part of the Rosguards, there are cynological units in which more than 2500 military personnel and 3000 service dogs serve. Training of pets and their use in the troops is carried out in three categories:
