In the United States "Russian Helicopters" presented a modernized Mi-171А2The Russian Helicopters' holding Helicopters of Russia, part of the United Industrial Corporation Oboronprom, in HeliExpo-2012, the helicopter industry exhibition Mi-171-X2, was presented at the industrial helicopter exhibition HeliExpo-XNUMX in Dallas. This rotary-wing machine is designed for the global market.

The Mi-171А2 helicopter is a deep upgrade of the Mi-8 / 17 - the most popular helicopter in the world.

The Mi-171А2 will be equipped with more powerful and economical engines, which will significantly increase the helicopter’s payload and range. The new carrier system, which is based on composite blades, enhanced transmission and X-shaped tail rotor will be the main changes that will be made as part of the modernization program of the helicopter, which is one of the main products of the company.

The integrated flight-navigation complex, which implements the principle of the "glass cabin", allows helicopter pilots to use multi-function liquid-crystal displays, providing much more information instead of conventional analog devices. This greatly simplifies piloting.

Russian Helicopters in the Mi-171А2 offer customers around 100 various innovations that improve flight performance, improve operational systems and reduce the cost of flight hours. This will allow buyers to increase the efficiency of operation of helicopters.

State and commercial operators of the Mi-8 / 17 helicopters took part in forming the requirements for the car. They were invited to work on a project to replace the Mi-8 / 17 modification with a single new and modern helicopter.

The delivery of serial certified Mi-171A2 will begin in 2014 year. The Mi-171А2 helicopter will be certified according to ARMAC and similar standards in other regions and countries.

Mi-171A2 helicopter developed by Moscow Helicopter Plant named after M.L. Mile ”, which is included in the“ Russian Helicopters ”. The machine is being developed on the basis of the Mi-171A1 helicopter, which is produced by Ulan-Ude aviation factory". The Mi-171A1 helicopter is certified by ARMAC and STA Brazil. In addition, this machine is the most advanced in terms of safety in the Mi-8/17 family.

Miles made a good helicopter; he watched on TV what he had made this helicopter in secret from the party (he took grandmas to upgrade the old helicopter, but made a new one).

We always have technology, especially military, was ahead of the rest. Even at the time of devastation, unique things were created (only in limited quantities). I hope that now that we have realized that we need to develop the military-technical industry, we will get all our know-how from dusty shelves and begin to invent new and new technologies. good

Give a second life to the old man who conquered the world is certainly great! But why is the first show in America? They obviously will not rush with an application for serial purchase !? What would be annoying? How much honor? For me it would be better if they were pissed off by a demonstration of this excellent car in some kind of friendly country to us.

It’s in vain that you, the United States have a promising market — they got to know our miles very tightly when they were delivered to Afghanistan, perhaps many companies involved in cargo transportation will buy them.

So, by the way, motorcycles Iz, Ural and Java in some states have the status of rarities and air pollution standards do not apply to them) so the amers respect our technology.

only the problem is that these motorcycles are copies of German motorcycles from the Second World War. Tell me that the boxer engine was created in the union, not the Ferdinand Porsche and I will laugh))))))))))))))))))

In principle, you are right, but a couple of points:

an exact copy of the BMW oppoid was m-72, and even before the war, the Urals and Dnieper are variations on the theme, but that engine was the cornerstone. By the way, EMNIP except for the Urals and BMW there are no more opositors in the world. moreover, the joke is that both the Urals and the Dnieper have some design flaws that significantly interfere with life (old models did exactly), unless you climb in and go over / tune, but the joke is that they are different, these drawbacks wink

izh were copied, but changed greatly during evolution.

Java, in all honesty, Czechoslovak and Czech, but "almost ours")) but I don't really understand them ..

Mi-8, like Mi-24, are helicopters, the creation of which laid the potential for modernization for decades to come.
Kamov helicopters are also outstanding units.
and in general, the domestic helicopter industry never lagged behind the foreign one, sometimes thanks to the backlog that was laid back in the USSR

And what kind of modification of the Mi-8 in the army do you want to change to the Mi-171A2? There are several modifications of this helicopter in the army and some modifications do not need to be changed - there are more and more of them. The named modification is a purely commercial project, devoid of some necessary qualities for the army.

MI-8 is a very good helicopter. Certainly, Russians can and do create good equipment, but I don’t think that America will buy a certain amount, because they have a lot of the best helicopters.

A little more about "Russian Helicopters"

The successes of Russian helicopter engineering today are recognized worldwide. An analytical report prepared by the reputable consulting company Frost & Sullivan, Global Military Helicopter Market, says that in 2010 Russian Helicopters held the first place among the leading players in the global military helicopter market.
“So, last year the share of Russian military helicopters in the world market amounted to 23%, the second place was taken by the products of the American company Bell (21%), the third was divided by the European manufacturer Eurocopter and the American Sikorsky (both 15% each),” the document says.

The Russian helicopter industry has increased the volume of orders, currently their total amount is $ 18 billion, said Andrei Reus, Director General of Oboronprom United Industrial Corporation.
“Today we have“ firm ”orders for the supply of helicopters in the amount of about 18 billion dollars. This is taking into account a very large long-term state defense order, ”Reus told Interfax.

They chose an interesting place for the show ... if you sign at least one contract at the show now, it will practically mean the hegemony card in the Sikorsky helicopter market ... And a helicopter with 100% guarantee of quality and quantity ... Even a simple one, the only one in the world a helicopter whose prototype (MI-8) shot down an airplane in battle ... And by the number (though I’m not sure about the accuracy of the info) this was the most massive helicopter ... Well, what a day today .., no matter the news, the mood rises. ..

Our Russian helicopter school has always been and is considered one of the best. All the more disgusting are the facts of attempts by "effective" managers to implement some kind of foreign projects. It is high time to do a general cleansing of the top of the government, otherwise there are too many overt enemies of Russia in the government offices. So there is a desire to resurrect STALIN's grandfather, so that he cleaned these "Augean stables."
