The concern’s general director Yan Novikov said at the opening ceremony of the monument.

According to Sergey Druzin, the deputy general director of the concern for scientific and technical development, “Joseph Drize is a model of what should be the chief designer”.

It is reported that the monument is a bronze bust of the designer, on the pedestal of which are depicted anti-aircraft weapons, in the design of which he took part.

The event is dedicated to the 90 anniversary of the birth of Drize, who died last November.

The agency reminds that the position of the general designer of the concern Joseph Drize has been occupied since 2008. He was awarded the Lenin Prize, the Order of Lenin, the Red Banner of Labor, the October Revolution, Merit for the Fatherland 3 degree and many medals. He was the Honored Designer of the Russian Federation.
