ROC "Shelest" to create a parachute system D-14 will begin in the year 2018
According to Kochetkov, the D-14 system will increase the safety of parachute jumps, ensure comfortable placement in the harness and even distribution of the dynamic load, as well as increase air handling and landing. In addition, thanks to a new parachute, it will be possible to increase the mass of a parachutist with weapons and equipment.
The general also said that new special-purpose parachute systems are being created for the Airborne Forces. They are intended for landing from heights of 1200-8000 meters at the speed of the aircraft to 350 km / h. The delay in opening the main parachute will be up to 10 seconds using a stabilizing parachute. The maximum flight weight for these systems will be 190 kg, the range from a height of 8 km will be up to 30 km.
Kochetkova added that the suspension system of the parachute provided for the fastening of a cargo container weighing up to 50 kg, as well as a special seat for the parachutist.
Kochetkov also drew attention to the fact that two new parachute-cargo systems for the Airborne Forces will begin to develop this year. One of them will use satellite navigation for accurate landing.
"Satellite navigation will provide cargo delivery with an accuracy of 1 meter"
In the current year, it is planned to open the Tara R & D project to create a one-time small-sized parachute-cargo system for landing air cargo from IL-76MD airplanes to remote areas, including islands in the Arctic.
