On the official portal of legal information published a decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the celebration of the 75 anniversary of the defeat by the Soviet troops of the German fascist troops in Stalingrad. The anniversary date in the Russian Federation will be widely celebrated in 2018. And by February next year’s 2, President Vladimir Putin is ordering the creation of an organizing committee that will prepare for an important event. Dmitry Rogozin, Deputy Chairman of the Russian Government, was appointed chairman of the organizing committee.
The organizing committee, together with government ministries and departments, is tasked with preparing and approving a plan of activities to celebrate the 75 anniversary of the victory in the Battle of Stalingrad.
In addition, the presidential decree (No. 68 of February 18 2017) appeals to the subjects of the federation with a recommendation to state authorities to take part in the preparation and conduct of a set of activities related to the 75 anniversary of the defeat of Hitler's troops off the Volga coast.

Recall that earlier at the level of the federal authorities, it was decided that Volgograd would be able to use the heroic name of Stalingrad during major holidays associated with the Great Patriotic War.
