Breivik demands that he be released immediately
The court decided to extend the arrest of the Norwegian shooter A. Breivik for 12 weeks. The February 6 meeting in Oslo was the last before the court hearings scheduled for April 16.
“I demand immediate release,” after such a statement by Breivik, there was laughter in the hall. At this meeting, the terrorist was given the first opportunity to speak, but his speech was limited to one minute. In honor of this event, Breivik appeared at a meeting not in his favorite red sweater, but in a black suit with a blue tie.
“I admit the crime, but not guilty,” Breivik said. “I have carried out a preemptive attack to stop ethnic cleansing, the seizure of Norway by Muslims.” For "special services to the Fatherland," Breivik demanded that he be awarded the Military Cross, writes Life News.
The listeners of Breivik were 80 relatives of the victims and about 160 journalists, reports RIA "News". Also, psychiatrists were present at the meeting. They need to conduct a new examination of Anders Breivik's mental health. The 77 killer previously resisted the examination.
Previously, psychiatrists Breivik was declared insane. “Breivik has a paranoid-schizophrenic disorder. Experts have determined that he considered himself a Knight Templar who committed murders because of philanthropy,” says a document read out by representatives of the state in Oslo.
Recall 22 July 2011. Anders Bering Breivik committed a terrorist attack in Oslo, detonating bombs outside the government building. As a result, eight people died. After that, he launched an attack on the youth camp of the ruling Labor Party on the island of Utaya. During this attack, he shot a 69 man. After his arrest, Breivik called himself a “Knight Templar” who leads a “crusade” against the seizure of European communists and Muslims.
According to police, Breivik planned the crime on his own and carried it out alone. A few days before the plan was implemented, the terrorist set out his political views in the manifesto of the Declaration of Independence of Europe 2083 of the Year.
Anders Breivik is accused under article 147 of the Norwegian Criminal Code ("Terrorism and terrorist activities"). He was placed in Ila Prison, a former Nazi camp that was converted into a maximum security prison. According to the laws of Norway, he faces 21 a year in prison. But the prosecutor's office says that the offender can get 30 years, if the prosecution is reclassified as a crime against humanity.
