The British company has completed the development of the e-chair for the F-35

The British company Martin-Baker completed the refinement and testing of the US16E ejection seat for the F-35 Lightning II fighter, first of all, the ejection system control algorithm was “brought to mind”, reports N + 1 with reference to Aviation Week.

The publication reminds, “in August 2015 of the year it turned out that the ejector seat of the pilot and the helmet in all versions of F-35 fighters pose a potential threat to the health or even the lives of pilots: when ejecting at low speed, pilots with a weight less than 61 kilograms could suffer damage to the cervical spine ".

The pilot's helmet was finalized last year by Lockheed Martin, reducing its weight on the 170 gr. up to 2,1 kg. A British firm has completed the ejection algorithm.

In addition, Martin-Baker specialists installed a “switch that changes the sequence of seat ejection systems on the chair”. It has two positions - for ordinary pilots and for pilots with a body weight less than 68 kg.

To date, already tested 22 seat and helmet. Qualification tests will begin soon. From their results depends on whether the modified seat is installed in the cockpit of the newest fighter.

Resource Help: “The US16E is equipped with two rocket launch engines, throwing it along with the pilot as far as possible from the aircraft. The parachute can be opened manually or automatically. The Martin-Baker seat allows you to leave the fighter at an altitude from zero to 15,25 thousand meters and at speeds up to 1,1 thousand km / hour. "

In fact, they are building it. Wing and REO. So even in profit will be. Running gear and out of competition. Laughter in vain.

Who would doubt that someday the whole plane will be finalized, after the deaths of 2 dozen pilots.

"after the deaths of 2 dozen pilots" ////

So far, not only not a single pilot has died, and - that
amazingly - not a single aircraft is lost out of 230 produced.
(one of the engines on the ground caught fire - and was replaced, the plane was not decommissioned)
With already tens of thousands of hours flown.
This is an absolute world record for reliability in the training and running stages for
        new fighter models.

In general, it is strange that I had to modify something.
In 1998, the US Air Force funded the creation of the “Americanized” version of K-36 / 3.5A, based on the K-36 / 3.5 seat, which uses
electronic and pyrotechnic components of American firms.
American experts note that "a combination of the unique capabilities of the Russian K-36D with American design experience ...... will allow American crews to have affordable spacecraft that have the ability to safely leave aircraft that are unrivaled."

IBP Aerospace has teamed up with NPO Zvezda to create a joint venture for the production of K-36 for American aircraft .............. in the financial years 1996–1999 spent $ 17 million for testing and the creation of the K-36 / 3.5A variant, and in 2000 an additional 4 million was allocated to complete these works and to finalize the modular design chair.

And for me, the news is more interesting here is such-
According to Interfax-AVN, Viktor Bondarev, Commander-in-Chief of the Aerospace Forces, reported this.

Russia has already begun the development of the Zashlon radio-electronic complex for the "interceptor of the future." Specialists at the Tikhomirov Research Institute of Nuclear Technology are working on technology.

At the same time, the Russian Ministry of Defense is successfully modernizing the existing interception systems - MiG-31 aircraft.

In 2014, Air Force commander Bondarev announced that Russia would begin research on the PAK DP project in 2017. To take part in the creation of the latest interceptor, the MiG airline corporation wanted.

And before, what was wrong with him, the pilot hit his head on the cockpit and flew out of the cockpit without a head, and he caught up with his head on the ground, or did he have to unscrew this chair with a wrench and raise the chair with his hands to jump out of the cockpit, holding the chair ?! .

And our seats seem to swaddle the pilot’s hands for half a second, and then the start of the actual seat itself. Can't it be repeated?

I see some specialists under a three-color flag.
The head of an adult weighs about 4,5 - 4,8 kg. There is also such a component as the density of a substance in a given volume, read the anatomy. There is such a component there, which is called "inertia". Who know, I will not tell how the brain behaves in the skull under gravitational or inertial effects. The creators of the ejection seats have to deal with a bunch of physical and biophysical problems. How to save a pilot and how to protect him from the effects of overload at the time of bailout. And it may happen that the head is thinking, and everything under the head is paralyzed. Remember how Anatoly Kvochur looked after the bailout from the Mig-29 to Le Bourget in 1989. Bruises all over his face as after good p ... But he was lucky, he stayed alive.
And then you go, you arrange dances about a pole, if only with d .... have a little fun, fool a foe to expose, then harm your squad. Just when a stranger - make fun, and if his own - hesitate.

And this despite the fact that his parachute did not fully open due to the extremely low ejection height.
