      I join in the congratulations!
Long-range flights and exercises by the way became possible with the advent of Putin in the 90s demshiz actively promoted the idea of recycling long-range aircraft in general and putting them on metal since Russia has no threats, but in fact it turned out that Russia has threats even in virtual space, not to mention but real life!

And for the strategists, combat training has entered its normal mode, which means that the wings of the Motherland are actually getting stronger! OK!!!!!!!!

I can imagine what kind of naughty they are at the NATO warriors when they fly around the corner, as the flyers themselves say! :-)

    Vrangel,

PAK YES this is when it will be, but now you need to A) maintain the existing boards in combat-ready condition and constantly update their on-board electronics, in particular electronic warfare equipment. B) to release some more Tu-160 (and only 1 air regiment) in order to increase their number and by the time PAK YES was produced at the plants, there would be someone to do them C) Large-scale exercises, interactions with other branches of the army D) One of the most important to restore the infrastructure of airfields.

The restoration of TU-160 production, both financially and in terms of time, is comparable to the development of PAK DA. And still it is necessary to consider a condition of KAPO.

In total, the Russian Armed Forces have 58 TU-95 MS. They can carry up to 14 Kh-55 cruise missiles with nuclear or conventional warheads with a range of 2500 to 3500 km. In terms of its performance characteristics, the TU-95 is practically identical to the American B-52, except that the B-52 has a slightly larger ceiling. The US has 85 B-52s. Currently, the TU-95 MS is being modernized in order to improve the characteristics of the avionics and re-equip with a new strategic cruise missile with a range of up to 5000 km. In addition to the TU-95 MS, Russia has 16 strategic bombers that have no analogues in the world, the TU-160, according to NATO terminology "Black Jack" (Black Jack), which continue to be built in limited quantities.

The bad thing is that in neutral waters these planes are not escorted by our fighters, i.e. they are left without the necessary cover.

This is certainly bad, but, for example, the Tu-160 is equipped with very powerful electronic warfare equipment, the pilot of the MiG 31 was shown on TV, as it is known that he has one of the most powerful fighter radars in the world, as he said that during the exercises on "intercepting" the Tu-160 he even visually observed the "swan", but could not aim the missiles at him.

The B-52 also has a large bomb load. Do not forget that the Americans also have 64 B1 and 21 B2. So not everything is as smooth as we would like.

Their task did not include the functions of interceptors. For this, there are slightly different types of aircraft.

Patrolling strategists has completely different tasks. Their duties include control of the airspace of Russia. Combat duty in the air, tracking targets and readiness at any time to complete a combat mission.
