The collapse of a military transport in Indonesia

Information agencies transmit information that a military transport worker was wrecked in Indonesia, killing 13 people. The Times of India reports that the crash occurred in the eastern province of Indonesia - Papua, bordering Papua New Guinea. We are talking about the plane Hercules C130, which participated in the course of military exercises and crashed into a mountain. There are no survivors of the crash.

The representative of the Indonesian search and rescue agency Ivan Ahmad Riski Titus reports that the plane took off from the airfield in the city of Timika and was heading towards the town of Wamena.

The crash site was discovered by rescuers. It is located on the slope of the mountain Lisuva. There is an operation to deliver the dead to the Indonesian Air Force base.

Earlier, President Joko Widodo promised to support the program of updating the fleet of transport aircraft after the collapse of a military aircraft in another Indonesian province. Then the investigation team found that the cause of the crash was a malfunction in the engines of the aircraft.
