Revolvers of the Nagan system and Mosin rifles will be left to collectors

Dmitry Rogozin, the Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, said that the state order for small weapon will be placed only after the military declare what the army needs. This statement was a reaction to the statement of Alexander Sukhorukov, First Deputy Minister of Defense, that the need for this type of weapon is closed by 115 percent.

“The measure of effectiveness in this matter should be practice - evaluation by the military,” ITAR-TASS quoted Dmitry Rogozin as saying. “The Ministry of Defense can also be understood. The department does not want to buy what is already enough. In this regard, they say the industry that it’s all there, you don’t have to produce anything. At the same time, industry representatives ask: how can it be? Shut down plants and disband people? This dilemma is not an easy one. "

At the same time, Rogozin stressed that the purchase of new weapons and the disposal of old ones should be closely linked.

The Deputy Prime Minister said that they had recently solved the problem of the disposal of weapons from the First World War: Nagan revolvers and Mosin rifles.

"Previously, they were broken, twisted barrels, but now agreed to transfer them back to the industry, which will convert this weapon into a collection and hunting," - he said.

According to Rogozin, the cost of the Mosin collection rifle exceeds one thousand euros.

The Nagan Revolver 1895 of the Year is a legendary weapon. Initially, revolvers were made in Belgium, but since 1898, they were launched at the Tula Arms Plant. The caliber of the revolver (7,62 mm) allowed the factory to unify the equipment for the production of not only revolvers, but also Mosin rifles having the same caliber.

Revolvers were produced before 1945. In 1994, its release as a service weapon was resumed at Izhmash.

Mosin rifle (three-lane) The Russian Imperial Army adopted the 1891 in. The rifle production in the 1892 began at Sestroretsk, Izhevsk and Tula arms factories. Due to the lack of production capacity at these plants, an order for 500 thousand units placed in the city of Chatellerault at the French military plant.

In the thirties of the twentieth century, the Soviet snipers very often used the Mosino trilinea. This was explained by the fact that sniper rifles with a SVT-40 telescopic lens were accurate in losing trilinea.

When will the Defense Forces be born into the main weapon of a soldier?

A free collectible will not be distributed? And then there is no money, but I really want to.

Unfortunately, we do not have a careful attitude to our past, and if there is, then we are not in power (I argue that in our country the monuments of the past have been destroyed many times since it was branded - for example, temples were blown up - and yet it not only religious buildings, but also the historical heritage, as well as the architectural monument of antiquity!). For example, the same Americans transfer their obsolete M-14s to a new box, and sell it on the civilian market (while in the case with it, they destroy it simply, without any benefit). And we have such a rarity - and the destruction. We can be glad that Rogozin decided not to recycle these exhibits of the past - besides, collectors will be happy, and such things will be useful in museums. I am glad that they have become more economical about their economy. smile

We have been doing this in Ukraine for so long - UWB and NATO give money for the disposal of weapons, part of the trunks are exemplary sawn before representatives. The rest is quietly, peacefully sawed by Nezhin or Balakley in MMG, and forward to the market. Salvage, of course, is being kicked.

It would be better if the law "On weapons" was passed normally, and this "outdated" weapon was sold to the people.

      IMHO, of course.

Rifles and revolvers, officially transfer to the arsenal of Cossack troops!
An army without weapons - amusing regiments!

I agree, but! That's why the army, with the charter, registry and selection. And, otherwise, why all this gimmick - for parades in Novocherkassk, etc.?
Cossacks always faithfully served the Fatherland until they began to make peasants and workers out of them! It is necessary to fully revive the functions and tasks assigned to the Cossacks - protecting the borders. And, this is the South and Far East of Russia.
