UAV Skylark I-LE received permission to fly in the sky of France

The Elbit Systems Skylark I-LE unmanned aerial system received permission to fly in French national airspace after the French Defense Ministry issued the flight certificate of Military Aircraft to it. Elbit Systems made a corresponding announcement to 24 on January 2012 in a company-issued communique.

The flight certificate was issued after a thorough examination of airworthiness and safety-related documents submitted to the French Technical Department of Airworthiness. According to the company, the issuance of a French flight certificate is "recognition of the capabilities of the Skylark I-LE and as such is an important benchmark for Elbit Systems customers at NATO and around the world."

The Skylark I-LE (Long Endurance) UAV is part of the Skylark I (Lark) family of unmanned systems already used by air forces in many countries around the world. This backpack UAV mini is designed for reconnaissance self-support in the lower echelons at a short distance, suggesting a flight time of up to three hours and increased stability. Proving its flight and exploration capabilities in cloudy and windy weather, the Skylark I-LE provides optical reconnaissance, target identification and surveillance capabilities. It possesses a gyroscopically stabilized outboard payload and a high degree of flight automation, starting from take-off and ending with accurate return.

The latest configuration of the UAV Skylark used algorithms created for large UAVs of the Elbit Systems Hermes family. Because of this, it is able to effectively monitor stationary and moving targets and can be used both for military purposes and to ensure the security of any objects, including the perimeter protection of objects, the border and coastal patrols, to combat terrorism and to solve various tasks facing law enforcement agencies. . The system is equipped with the most modern digital data transmission channel, as well as the new generation of night vision systems. With a weight of just 700 grams, the thermal imaging system is the easiest in its class. The payload has very wide capabilities, including automatic continuous tracking of moving objects and a higher resolution capability than any of its predecessors.

Elbit Systems supplies the Skylark I-LE UAV to the Israeli Defense Forces ground forces battalions, also providing training and logistical support.

The revelation for me was that you need a certificate for flying such a small aircraft. Will soon be banned from flying kites without a certificate

received a certificate, I wonder what class this aircraft was assigned to in the certificate? Or they came up with a new option ...
It seems they are only of two types:

Certificate of Airworthiness of a Civil Aircraft.

Airworthiness certificate for a single instance of a general aviation aircraft.

Like an UAV, you see, it’s not pulling, under a general aviation aircraft. Especially civilian.

uh huh. eggs at "Barsikov" always shine wink

If it wakes up the Necrins like this, we will soon come to the point that we will receive flight certificates on the model’s remote control. Yes, take the exam, for the right to pilot, of this aircraft winked

Got a certificate fly freely. That pendos did not bother to obtain a certificate in Iran for their UAVs and as a result the drone was confiscated winked

        wink it's funny.

Only flights over non-airspace are always fraught with practical exercises for air defense, the country over which the flight took place. fellow

I think that the Pendots themselves would not have been thrilled to fly someone else's UAV over their airspace.

Once the Jews have adopted, apparently, a good machine. Drones in our time have become an integral part of intelligence on the ground, convenient, compact, they will not sell us an army, of course.

It is a pity that Mishiko Galstukoed was not "certified" at that time. But then the "brave Georgians" had richly adjusted the techniques ....................... What are we laughing at. How many of our pilots were shot down there?

And what does the Slavic brotherhood have to do with it? What complexes did the people of Ukraine supply? The authorities decided to deliver, and delivered, but nobody asked our opinion. However, shame from this does not become less.

At the consoles are not conscripts who were under oath, but hired specialists.
