The air regiment stationed in Primorye received three upgraded MiG-31BM interceptor fighter, reports RIA News message press service BBO.
«Aviation The regiment, based at the Central Angular military airfield near Vladivostok, received a link from three modernized MiG-31BM fighter interceptors. New aircraft are equipped with modern aviation equipment, their arrival is the next stage in the process of re-equipping a fighter aviation regiment. Using on-board electronic equipment and weapons of a new generation, the MiG-31BM’s efficiency has more than doubled compared to the MiG-31, ”the release said.
It is reported that before the end of this year, "it is planned to completely replace the fleet of the military unit, consisting of Su-27CM fighters and MiG-31 interceptor fighters, with new aircraft equipment."
“By the beginning of 2016, the flight technical staff of the air regiment had fully completed the retraining process for the Su-30CM and Su-35С multipurpose super-maneuverable fighters, the 4 ++ generation, as well as the upgraded MiG-31BM fighter-interceptors,” the message noted.
During this year, the flight and technical composition of the regiment successfully mastered the new aviation technology.
