Air-launched cruise missiles were launched from the area over the Mediterranean Sea. The planes took off from one of the airfields on the territory of the Russian Federation and, having made two refueling in the air, overcame more than 11 thousand km.
The missile carrier's route passed over the waters of the northern seas and the East Atlantic.
After delivering a missile strike, the aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces returned to the home airfield.
Su-33 naval fighters of the heavy aircraft-carrying cruiser "Admiral Kuznetsov" and the strike aviation from the Khmeimim airfield. Fighter-aviation cover was carried out by Su-30 aircraft.
The objects of defeat were terrorist control points, warehouses with weapons and ammunition, an accumulation of military equipment and a workshop for the production of weapons.
The coordinates of all targets were verified and confirmed through several intelligence channels.
The results of the strikes were also monitored by unmanned aerial vehicles.
