Russian arms exports. October 2016 of the year

5
An important article of Russian exports has always been weapons and military technology. Countries with a developed defense industry complex (MIC), which, of course, Russia also belongs, create weapon and military equipment not only for their own needs, but also for sale to other countries. For Russia, arms exports are a profitable business. Today, Russia owns a quarter of the global arms market (second place in terms of 2011-2015), our country is second only to the United States (33% of the market). In third place is China, which controls only 5,9% of the world market for weapons and military equipment. Arms exports brought our country in 2015 more than 15 billions of dollars.

During the meeting of the commission on military-technical cooperation (MTC) with foreign countries, which took place at the end of October 2015, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the order book of Russian defense enterprises exceeds today 50 billion dollars. At the same time, the president called on those in charge not to relax, but to more actively promote military products of Russian enterprises to regional markets. According to the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation, over the past 11 years, Russian arms exports have increased immediately by 3 (approximately from 5 to 15,3 billion dollars). Russia has solid arms supply contracts with 60 countries.

The beginning of deliveries of airborne defense complexes "President-S" to Egypt

The Egyptian Armed Forces received from Russia the first batch of unique Russian airborne defense complexes (BSO) for President-S aircraft and helicopters. This is the newest product of the Russian military-industrial complex, which is developed and produced by the concern Radio Electronic Technologies (KRET). BKO "President-S" was developed at the Scientific Research Institute "Ekran", which is part of KRET. This complex is already being installed on Ka-52, Mi-28 and Mi-26 helicopters.

Egypt received the first batch of 3-x products at the end of the summer of 2016, and it was reported in October,News"With reference to its own source in military diplomatic circles. The complexes are installed on Mi-17 helicopters of the Egyptian Air Force. It is reported that these helicopters have already taken part in hostilities against the militants. It is not known whether the Egyptian Mi-17 fell under fire, but Cairo is satisfied with the equipment supplied. At least one modernized Mi-17 helicopter of the Egyptian Air Force took part in a military parade dedicated to the 43 anniversary of the beginning of the Arab-Israeli “Doomsday War”. The parade was held in the Egyptian capital of 6 in October 2016 of the year.

The airborne defense complex "President-S" is designed to protect aircraft and helicopters from anti-aircraft guided missiles. It also provides protection against air-to-air missiles. The ACU is able to independently detect the threat to the aircraft, determine the degree of its danger and activate electronic interferences that prevent the detected missile from hitting the target. Detecting and tracking an attacking missile, the complex creates active radio interference from the radar head of the missile’s guidance or sends coded laser multispectral radiation to its optical homing head. Such an impact of the complex leads to the disruption of the tracking of the target by the rocket and its departure from the supporting trajectory away from the protected aircraft.

BKO "President-S" is in demand in the international market. KRET Deputy Director General V. Mikheev noted that in 2016, foreign customers will receive several dozen of these complexes, and in 2017, more than a hundred complexes. Contracts for the delivery of the BKO "President-S" were also concluded with Belarus, Algeria and India.

The contract for the supply of Su-30МК2 for Vietnam is fully implemented

In Komsomolsk-on-Amur, at the local aviation plant named after Yu. A. Gagarin (KnAAZ, a branch of PJSC “Company“ Sukhoi ”) the contract for the supply of Su-30МКХNUMX multi-purpose fighters for Vietnam was completed. The last two fighters have been tested and prepared for transfer to the customer. Multifunctional fighters were created under a contract for the supply of 2 aircraft of this type, which was concluded between Rosoborexport OJSC and the Vietnamese side in August 12. The total amount of the transaction was about 2013 million dollars, the blog reports bmpd.

It is reported that two Su-30МКХNUMX fighters built in Komsomolsk-on-Amur with on-board numbers 2 and 8593 were the latest fighters of this type not only built for Vietnam, but also at KnAAZ as a whole. According to the decision of February at the local aircraft factory, it was decided to stop the production of Su-8594 fighters, focusing on the production of Su-2015 multi-purpose fighters and promising fifth-generation Russian fighters T-30.

It is worth noting that earlier in Vietnam under the three contracts concluded in the period from 2004 to 2012, for the country's Air Force and Air Defense received a total of 24 multifunctional Su-30MK2 fighters. Thus, in aggregate, Russia sold 36 planes of this type to Vietnam.

The contract for the supply of air defense systems C-300 Iran completed

Russia completed the execution of the long-suffering contract for the supply of anti-aircraft missile systems C-300 to Iran, which was concluded in 2007 year. Alexander Fomin, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC), told reporters during the ArmHiTec-2016 arms exhibition in Yerevan. According to "Rossiyskaya Gazeta", Fomin noted that all divisions of C-300 complexes to Iran have already been delivered, without specifying how many divisions Iran received.

The contract between Russia and Iran for the supply of air defense systems C-300 was concluded in 2007 year, its value was about 900 million dollars. But with the adoption of 9 on June 2010 by the UN Security Council of a resolution on Iran, which imposed a ban on the transfer of modern weapons to the country, the curtailment of bilateral military-technical cooperation began. Only in April, 2015, after certain progress that was achieved during the negotiations on the Iranian nuclear issue between Tehran and the “six” international mediators, did Russian President Vladimir Putin lift the embargo on the delivery of Russian C-300 air defense systems to Iran.

Last July, Vladimir Kozhin, an assistant to the Russian president for military-technical cooperation, said that Iran would receive from the Russian Federation upgraded C-300 anti-aircraft missile systems. 9 November, 2015, the contract entered into force. 11 April 2016, the Iranian side received the first batch of complexes, said Hussein Jaber Ansari, a spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the Islamic Republic, talking about this. On May 10, the Russian C-2016 anti-aircraft missile systems delivered to Iran were put into service at the Iranian air defense base of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps "Khatam al-Anbiya", and for the first time on September 300 they were demonstrated to the general public as part of a parade that took place in Tehran.

The army of Peru will receive the Russian radio station R-312AC

Rosoboronexport will supply Peru Ground Forces Russian radio stations R-312ATS. This will allow the Ministry of Defense of the Republic to save more than 12 million dollars, reports "Rosteh". Saving more than 11,5 a million dollars of budget funds takes place within the framework of the transfer of Russian radio equipment under the industrial and social compensation program (offset) in connection with the acquisition by Peru of 24 Mi-171Sh helicopters. More about 1 million dollars Russia is ready to allocate Peru for the construction of a helicopter training center in the case of offset projects agreed with the Ministry of Defense of this country in July 2015, 8.

If necessary, the Russian side is ready for the Peruvian military to demonstrate the P-312AC radio stations in Russia and confirm that they correspond to a high technological level. In addition, taking into account the wishes of the representatives of Peru, Rosoboronexport is ready to adjust the lists of the equipment supplied by the parties so as to maximally satisfy the requests of the logistics command and communication service of the Peruvian Ground Forces.

The Russian radio stations P-312AC are equipped with GPS receivers, they are universal and absolutely compatible with the radio stations that are used today by the Peruvian military, including the British Selex SSR-400. If necessary, Peru will be able to use Russian radio stations with other foreign-made cryptographic modules available to it. All this makes it possible to effectively integrate Russian radio stations into the command and control system of communications of the Peruvian Armed Forces and thereby achieve minimum risk and maximum efficiency when conducting special operations in the VRAEM zone. VRAEM is a region in Peru, short for the valleys of the Apurimac, Ene and Mantaro rivers. The area is the center of terrorist activity and the cultivation and trafficking of drugs (coca leaves, cocaine production).

The main and indisputable advantage of Russian-made R-312AT radio stations over similar foreign equipment is that at present they are the only certified devices for organizing communication between Russian helicopters (Mi-171Sh) and ground units in crypto-protected mode.

China bought two X-NUMX engines D-224KP30 produced by NPO Saturn under two contracts

In October, 2016, the blog bmpd provided information on the supply of X-NUMX engines to China from D-224KP30 engines manufactured by NPO Saturn. Information about the decisions of the general meeting of shareholders of PJSC “Scientific and Production Association“ Saturn ”(Rybinsk), held by 2 in October, 24, was published on the corporate information disclosure server. Of greatest interest is the approval of the conclusion of amendments to commission agreements between NPO Saturn and JSC Rosoboronexport under two contracts concluded in July of this year for the supply to the People's Republic of China of 2016 totally D-224KP30 turbojet engines (these engines are installed on IL-2 airplanes / 76 and Chinese Y-78). The total amount of delivery is a little over 20 million dollars. The contract customer is the Borrowing Arms, Military Equipment and Technologies Department of the Arms Cooperation, Military Equipment and Technologies Directorate of the Central Directorate of Weapons Development and Military Equipment of the Central Military Council of the PRC. The engines will be delivered to Chengdu Airport.

It should be noted that earlier, under the contract dated February 2009, in the period 2009-2011, the PRC has already received 55 engines of this type produced by NPO Saturn. Later, another contract was signed between Rosoboronexport and Beijing for the supply of 184 Russian engines to the Celestial Empire, which was implemented by the end of 2015. Thus, taking into account new contracts for 224 engines, China has already purchased 463 aviation engine of this type. Engine deliveries under the new contract will begin in 2017. In the first quarter of 2017, China will receive the first 10 Russian D-30KP2 engines.

Regarding the latest contracts of July 2016, it can be assumed that the D-30KP2 twin-turbojet engines are designed to replace the same type of engines on PLA Aircraft-operated IL-76 / 78 types (54 engine contract) units, possibly, are intended for the subsequent installation on the new military transport aircraft Y-170 of China, which are planned for release.

Russia and India have agreed on the delivery of C-400 air defense systems, 11356 frigates and the joint production of Ka-226T helicopters

In October 2016, the Russian Federation and India signed a number of important agreements in the military-technical sphere, reports TASS. They include the future supply of the Triumph C-400 anti-aircraft missile systems, the production of the 11356 frigates for the Indian Navy, as well as the creation of a joint Indian-Russian company that will launch the Ka-226T helicopters (previously, the construction of 200 helicopters). The final documents were signed following the talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the presence of the leaders of both countries. In total, 18 documents were signed as part of the negotiations, and a statement was made on joint approaches to achieving global peace and stability.

C-400 "Triumph" - a modern long-range anti-aircraft missile system, which in 2007 was adopted by the Russian army. This air defense system is able to destroy enemy aircraft and cruise missiles at a distance of up to 400 kilometers, as well as intercept ballistic targets flying at speeds up to 4,8 kilometers per second up to 60 kilometers. China became the first foreign buyer of C-400 “Triumph”. The signing of the contract between the PRC and Russia was announced last spring. According to media reports, the cost of the deal concluded with Beijing was about 3 billion dollars. Deliveries of complexes within the framework of the contract concluded with China have not yet begun.

Frigates project 11356. Six frigates of the 11356 project were built for the needs of the Russian Navy, but the construction of the second three ships was in question, as they are equipped with power units manufactured by Ukrainian companies. Obtaining gas turbine power plants from Ukraine in the light of recent events is not possible. As a result, in the spring of 2016, information appeared that the United Shipbuilding Corporation was negotiating with India to sell the last three ships of this type. Currently, the Indian Navy already has 6 built in Russia Talwar frigates, which are the predecessors of the 11356 combat ships designed for export. These ships became part of the Indian Navy in the 2003-2004 and 2012-2013 respectively.

Ka-226T

Russia and India were able to agree on the joint production of multi-purpose Ka-226T helicopters as early as December 2015 during the visit of the Indian Prime Minister to Russia. It is assumed that, within the framework of bilateral cooperation, no less than X-NUMX Ka-200T helicopters will be produced, while 226 of them is planned to be released directly in India. The Ka-140T is a light multi-purpose helicopter with a maximum take-off weight of 226 kg. The helicopter is designed to transport cargo weighing up to 3600 tons (1,5 kg in the transport cabin) or 785-6 passengers for distances up to 7 km.

Enough is enough to sell raw materials; you need to sell a finished technological product! it is much more profitable!
Good luck to our defense industry in the arms market!

Foreign exchange earnings are good (if only in the state’s pocket) But it’s bad that we ourselves do not have enough of these modern weapons.

It will be even worse when they will be naughty for us!
At least in the short term, this factor must be taken into account.
Greece, Turkey - it’s strange - NATO members have long been "sworn friends" to us.

in the military parade, which was dedicated to the 43rd anniversary of the start of the Arab-Israeli "Doomsday War".
A strange date, anyway, that we will march on Red Square on June 22 .. Usually such celebrations are timed to the victorious end of the war, and not its beginning. And the outcome of the war is not in favor of the Egyptians and the Arab coalition.
