Military equipment ZVO will be equipped with equipment based on GLONASS

“The peculiarity of the new system was the ability to promptly notify the dispatch center about the occurrence of abnormal situations, promptly specify the routes of traffic convoys taking into account changes in the situation in the area of the military logistics operation,” the release said.

According to the press service, today “around 1,5 thousands of heavy trucks KAMAZ-65117 of the material support units of ZVO, intended for the transport of ammunition, other dangerous goods and materiel, are equipped with an automated troop logistics management system based on GLONASS ".

In the near future, all the military equipment of the district will be equipped with GLONASS instruments.

Due to this, “it is possible to calculate the speed, arrival time of the column,“ attach ”to digital cards, track and analyze deviations from the route,” the press service noted, explaining that the module can transmit data directly to the dispatcher or write them to the equipment’s memory.

“With the help of the GLONASS satellite monitoring system, sensors are being used that monitor fuel consumption and the level of load on the vehicle axles. The navigation system stores in the memory data on the speed of movement and other parameters that can help in identifying the causes of accidents, ”added in the district.

You have to start with something, you can’t do everything right away.
Information from GLONASS provides many advantages, but at the same time it is a vulnerability in case of conflict.

Commercial logistics companies also seem to be watching their cars. Is that the same thing?

What networks will be used for data transmission?
In the civilian version, according to the 285 order of the Ministry of Transport, the transmission is carried out via mobile radiotelephone networks of the GSM standard.
In South Ossetia, on the signal of a GPS phone from the Georgians, "has a gift arrived or have you already forgotten?"

Then it’s better to record that in military operations when the enemy uses electronic electronic reconnaissance and electronic warfare equipment, these trucks are just targets and an army without supplies and fuel.

Why does a car need additional radiation. Indeed, finding such a car is very simple. And they already know how to point at such a receiver, here the Georgians were pointing at a 080808 cell phone. And this contraption allows you to turn on the phone and turn off the artillery, it is called the initiator.

Someone in the General Staff of the Russian Federation decided to test an analogue of "Platon" on army trucks?
The indiscreet question is who benefits from this (who promoted the order) and how this will affect defense capabilities.

The main thing is to make this monitoring system disabled by the driver from the cockpit in case of hostilities ... Otherwise, it will turn out like with a phone ...

No need to see a corruption component in every decision of the General Staff, or do you propose using GPS? The question has ripened, a reasonable decision has been made, and nothing more.

GLONASS, electronic maps, etc. certainly good, but the good old cards should not be forgotten. and with this somehow strained, people forgot how to work with them - the navigator will bring. In a global conflict, the entire technological war will go on for a maximum of a week, and then the old fashioned way with a compass and a map, and AK!

Just as soon, paper maps and cartridges for AK will run out, and your compass will fizzle out!
Survival in THAT world will NOT depend on your cards, dear!
      I have the honor!
