In organizing the work of Liaoning, the experience of the US Navy was used, when all crew members wear vests of a certain color depending on their purpose: white - air traffic control group, red - weapons, purple - fuel, green - maintenance and repair, etc.
For the formation of a group of pilots-instructors of the PLA Navy, six experienced Jian-15 fighters were manufactured, in which eight pilots were trained. Further, the instructors prepared four groups of combatant pilots with a total number of 24 people.
Now around the 40 pilots are able to fly a heavy carrier-based fighter Jian-15 in any weather conditions.
