Odessa: escorted Misha, broke three accordions
Ah, Odessa, the pearl of the sea ... Ah, the inhabitants of Odessa ...
In general, Odessa is something separate from the rest of Ukraine. Some of them are different. I had a roommate, we lived together for 12 years and suddenly in 2010 she rushed back to historical homeland. But from time to time we communicate.
When the events known to us began, I repeatedly asked how you were looking at all this. There was only one answer in life: “Oh, we have our own stubs here, they have nothing to do in Kiev!” Well, blonde - she is blonde in Odessa.
But after the May events, something in my head was twitching. And the other day she called, with pride so, they say, we heard that this rooster of the Georgian perished from the roost!
Well, yes, "we plowed," said one fly from the parable ...
However, a fact. Already confirmed, and therefore we can say a few words for this matter. Mikhail Saakashvili is no longer the governor of the Odessa region. Point.
The final and irreversible point in the career of the former president of Georgia. Now Mishiko is just a political corpse on the road to the historical dump.
And the inhabitants of Odessa staged the “solemn farewell” with kebabs, wine and music that announced the resignation of the governor of the Odessa region, Mikhail Saakashvili.
“Good-bye, our gentle Miho!” - with different intonations, from hate to relief. Like the famous character Astrid Lindgren Karlsson, Saakashvili will fly away, but he is unlikely to return. What not to say about the problems that he left behind.
Claims in Odessa many. This is a sudden and sharply reduced standard of living, and a meaningless squandering of the budget, and a harem of advisers-favorites from Mashenka Gaidar to the main “customs officer” Yulechka Marushevskaya.
But Odessans saw the light. It is not for me to judge whether this is good or bad, especially when at such a price.
As you know, all Odesa citizens are notorious boasters. Of course, there is why, because Odessa is not Kiev for you, but “a completely different difference”.
It is worth remembering, and this was in large numbers on the Internet, how together and massively Odessans boasted to the rest of the world the new governor.
“We have the governor of the former Georgian president Saakashvili! Honest and unjustly offended at home! He is despised and hated in Russia, but this does not mean that he is so bad. Perhaps Mishiko is much better than ours. We will be all!
Misha will fight bribe takers! And all! We have passports, documents for a car, an apartment will be issued, as in Georgia, in ten minutes. And he already expels lazy and bribe takers!
There were hundreds, if not thousands of such happy posts on the network. And the other thousands of readers of Facebook, Twitter, and other Internet bays together put likes, frankly jealous. From Lviv to Kharkov.
Everything, in fact, is obvious and understandable. And it is logical, because a simple man in the street, even in Khmelnytsky, even in Belgorod or Brest, does not like bribe takers, bureaucrats and standing in line for papers and pieces of paper. And everyone wants to live well.
Therefore, the joyful cries that, once Mishiko brought order to Georgia, they would definitely control one area, they had a certain logic.
The Russian side of the Internet was mostly silent because those who understood that a miracle reformer would hardly have been flooded out of the country if everything were so rosy and beautiful were the majority. And 08.08.08 is not forgotten.
But who and when, in Ukraine as a whole and in Odessa in particular, did he listen to the Russians?
At first, everyone was just happy. Odesa residents posted hundreds of videos, which Saakashvili excitedly carried the villains-officials and told how he would rebuild everything.
Hmkyas of perestroika specialists from Russia and local pessimists called them “quilted jackets” and advised to be silent in a rag.
Mishiko did not even “come in,” he flew a dove of peace and prosperity to the Odessa Olympus. And I must say, everyone liked. Well, almost everyone. Gushing with ideas and good emotions, lavishing smiles and promises, giving out interviews left and right and taking pictures with everyone.
Oh yes, Misha was very, very. Was.
Mikhail Saakashvili's main achievement is the “Center for the provision of administrative services”. Indeed, television has repeatedly shown this masterpiece. In Russia, “multifunctional centers” are no longer a novelty, but the Crimeans shared with me the shock of opening such a center in Simferopol. It was from what stunned with unaccustomed, I agree.
But Misha did even the Russian centers.
A huge building, entirely in marble, with elevators, palm trees and fountains. Young people at the entrance. Young people at the "reception". Correct, polite, smiling. Quickly grasping the essence of the problem and immediately redirecting visitors to specialists. Waiting room with a playground. And really fast clearance of everything. For some 20-30 minutes.
People were really shocked. It turns out you can! Like in Europe!
But quite recently, information emerged that the Odessa regional administration, by order of the governor, had rented a room for a “Center for the provision of administrative services” from a commercial bank. The rental price for the month was 6 million hryvnia. Almost 200 thousand dollars. This is 10-15 times higher than the rent of an office building in the center of business Odessa. Anyone.
Mishiko got a lot of unpleasant moments when he began to be lopasit this information in his eyes. But he dissuaded himself, accusing in the process of blaming some slanderers and envious persons who hindered his fight against corruption by publishing false and false information. And the "Center" continued to work. Not so, however, brilliant and sparkling, as in 2015 year, but still. On its final liquidation in Odessa, said only November 2. It is worth recalling that since the opening of the Center by Petro Poroshenko in October 2015, only a year has passed. And yet, the dream was blown away or burst like a soap bubble.
It is worth saying (I would try not to do this) about the immigrants from the Donbass. About those who had friends or relatives in Russia, and lost home, work, and health. Who decided nevertheless to remain a citizen of Ukraine, and believed that he would not be abandoned. In the end, they are citizens of this country, and it’s not for us to blame them or blame such a choice.
About 50 thousands of immigrants or refugees arrived in the Odessa region. Counting on help from the authorities. Fairly counting, by the way. They are citizens, not foreigners. Their.
Saakashvili's predecessor, the governor of the Odessa region, Igor Palitsa, must be given his due, before that somehow dealt with the influx of Donbass. He allocated places in hotels, opened check-in points at train stations, organized hot meals. How good or bad is there is not a question, since at least something was really being done.
Misha did not need refugees from the word “absolutely.” They are not of interest from the point of view of PR. Refugees need to help and equip them every day, so to speak, the daily routine work. But is this food for the media? Well, they will remove one plot, well, two. But if, with noises and cries in the media of all the neighboring countries, to recruit Russian opposition activist Masha Gaidar into personal embraces is the theme! Or, as an option, fall in on a visit to the French aristocratic winemaker who lives near Odessa. And not just to taste it, or Vinca, and, accompanied by a shobla of three dozen journalists, scold the local authorities on their cameras and tape recorders, which does not allow the winemaker to turn around. This is yes, the material that is necessary. And immigrants ... it is, something like garbage.
Take them out of sight, and be done with it.
And cleaned. And removed. More precisely, the settlers themselves began to settle in abandoned houses, sanatoriums, boarding schools. And get some as you can. And many have returned. To the destroyed houses and the bombed apartments. Who cares where to be homeless? But in the Donbas it is not as humiliating as it turned out.
And Mishiko continued reforms under the sights of television cameras. He broke the fences at the coastal dachas, providing free Odessa citizens with easy access to the sea, built the Odessa-Reni motorway, defended the monuments of Odessa.
But ... the fences in the cottages restored. Construction of the highway was postponed indefinitely, when there will be funds for construction. And all the same, monuments were crashing down with excavators and bulldozers, spitting at the governor and his instructions.
Can you take the risk of being objective, and suppose that Misha was not allowed to carry out reforms by some enemies? Maybe he really put a stick in the wheel? Maybe there really was a place to be directed and organized sabotage? Many still believe in it, but ...
It turns out that Mishin’s ideas and plans were sabotaged by those whom he had appointed in return for expelled officials and dealers. Their. Their? Is this Masha Gaidar - her own? Well, sorry ...
By the way, I wonder how the fate of the opposition girl in the absence of a patron will now be? Where to go?
But this should not worry us too much. Just not back to Russia.
And Odessa spent Misha. Three accordions broke or more, I do not know for sure, it is, by the way, it was necessary. But the fact is that the loser president has also become the loser governor. Below there is nowhere to fall.
Goodbye Mishiko! We will still remember for a while both you, and the tie eaten, and “be-be-be”, but not for long. For the fate of a retired political clown is short-lived.
But Odessa can only congratulate. And wish that the successor is not worse.
