Deputy Foreign Minister of Ukraine Elena Zerkal told the EU ambassador in Kiev that further “delay in resolving the issue of a visa-free regime is unacceptable” and cannot depend on developing a mechanism for its temporary suspension, reports RIA News message of the press service of the Ukrainian department.
According to Zerkal, “Ukraine has fulfilled all the criteria of the action plan to liberalize the EU visa regime for Ukraine,” and therefore hopes that “the EU member states will make additional efforts to approve the legislative proposal to grant Ukrainian citizens the right to short-term visa-free travel to the countries The EU is already in the near future, irrespective of the process of coordination within the EU of the mechanism for the temporary suspension of a visa-free regime.
Earlier, Petro Poroshenko said that the issue of visa-free regime with the EU should be decided before the end of November.
