Fallon reassured: there will be no war between NATO and Russia next year
The head of the British Defense Ministry, Michael Fallon, told the House of Commons that there would be no war between NATO and Russia in 2017, reports RIA News post The Independent.
Fallon expressed this opinion at a hearing on the defense committee, after one of his members referred to the words of General Shirreff, who predicted a military conflict between the forces of the alliance and the Russian Federation next year (this is a book about the general called 2017 year. War with Russia. Urgent warning from high-ranking military commanders ").
“Well, there are many people who write books and try to sell them, and specifically this book is very good. However, I do not agree that war with Russia is possible next year. I think this is too exaggerated judgment ",
According to him, “in the past and the year before last Russia was much more aggressive than now.”
However, the Minister of Defense did not rule out the possibility of military conflict between the parties in subsequent years.
