China introduced the amphibian AG600

The Chinese holding CAIGA presented at the Airshow China 2016 exhibition, which opened in Zhuhai, the first prototype of an amphibious aircraft AG600 Jiaolong, reports bmpd.

China introduced the amphibian AG600

According to the resource, the launching of the aircraft took place in July of this year "at the Chinese aircraft manufacturer Zhuhai Yanzhou Aircraft Corporation (ZYAC) of the China Aviation Industry General Aircraft Association (CAIGA) of the state aircraft building corporation AVIC in Zhuhai (Guangdong province)."

It is supposed that AG600 will make its first flight next year.

“The AG600 Jiaolong (Water Dragon) aircraft has a length of 39,3 m, a wingspan of 39 m and the claimed maximum take-off weight of 53,5 t, which, according to Chinese media, makes it the largest modern seaplane in the world. AG600 has four WJ6 turboprop engines with an 5100 HP takeoff power. (a copy of the Soviet AI-20 engine) with six-bladed propellers, ”the report says.

It is noted that at present, two modifications of AG600 are being developed - search and rescue (takes on board up to 50-ti people) and fire department (produces 12-ti tons of water). It is also planned to develop modifications for the military.

Media reports on the availability of 17-a-plane orders from Chinese buyers by today.

Maybe. But the initial question was precisely about the technical possibility of take-off of a screw seaplane in general:

But it’s military standards, because it already according to the scheme has 2 key advantages:
      1) Long stay in the sky.
      2) Low safe speed.

      1) Needed for long patrols, for example, in the survival of a submarine adversary.
      2) Necessary for the comfortable operation of search equipment. For patrol and PLO aircraft - the lower the flight speed in the work area - the better.

Modern aircraft are all alike and differ only in that they only give them their inherent qualities.

I did not see anything special. Our BE-200 weighs 28 tons, has two turbojet engines and takes 12 tons of water. That is, the take-off mass is 40 tons from water and 42 tons from land. This, Chinese, has four engines, though turboprop, the take-off mass is 53,5 tons, but it takes the same 12 tons of water. In principle, not impressive.
