Let them cherish their ears themselves, we do not need them, and the ship will still serve and will be one of the combat-ready and not at all old warriors.

Look at the Japanese aircraft carriers, cranks, you got the liberals with their black smoke, fuel oil does not burn differently. You will not please - the nuclear installation - is expensive, you will begin to whine that unfortunate pensioners are taking away a pension for this, a cheap fuel oil boiler system - the smoke is in the way. Why doesn't the Chinese "Liaoning" smoke? Is there a logical explanation for this?

            There is
            1) There are new boilers
            2) They are made on an improved design.
            3) Most likely, they are qualitatively better made. Kuznetsov from Nikolaev was transferred to the 91st actually in an unfinished form.

Why doesn't the Chinese "Liaoning" smoke? Is there a logical explanation for this?

Explanation: there is in the Navy (and not only ours) the concept of "throwing a hat". It is achieved by injecting fuel into the combustion chamber at a lower pressure than it should be. The "hat" of black smoke emanating from the chimney of the warship, as it were, says to everyone: "I have come, hello," "I am leaving, goodbye", or "I am coming!" This is part of the unwritten maritime etiquette and has nothing to do with malfunctions.

            There is certainly some explanation.
Chinese boilers are new. Colleague Odysseus set out everything.
And where did they get the spare parts for Kuznetsov? For a long time, boiler-turbine plants have not been produced here ... They were shot from other ships. Quality is understandable. Sadly, where to go?
Throwing the hat on is the most romantic and life-affirming explanation possible. hi

Two OSA-MA air defense systems (40 missile ammunition, 128 kg missile mass) short-range are intended for the ship’s self-defense against attacks by aircraft, helicopters and anti-ship missiles, as well as firing at surface targets. Combat capabilities of air defense systems allow to destroy air targets at a speed of up to 600 m / s at a range of up to 15 km and a height of up to 5 km, missile length 3 m, weight 128 kg.
Eight S-300F "Fort" air defense systems (64 missiles in 8 launchers of the revolving type under the deck, length - 7,9 m, diameter - 0,34 m, weight - 1600 kg) is designed to protect the order of ships from attacks by aircraft, cruise missiles and other means of enemy air attack, speed up to 2000 m / s, range up to 90 km and up to 25 km in height. According to some information on the cruiser "Moskva" in April 2015, during the dock works, the Fort air defense missile system was also upgraded to the S-400.

I read semi-enthusiastic comments and realized once again: the Russian Federation does not have a fleet. Rusty, hard-to-upgrade junk .... And most importantly - there is no clear concept for the application and development of the fleet, goals; What kind of ships do we need and why !! ???!? The spirit of Tsushima is in the air ......

Are you sure this is the spirit of Tsushima? Maybe you have a fear of bowel problems? Fleet - was, is and will be! I repeat, wake up - go and shoot yourself quietly, there is no need to breed a panic!

During the modernization at "Marshal Ustinov", new radar stations were installed. The cruiser received the Podberezovik three-coordinate long-range radar and the Fregat-M2M station with phased array antennas optimized for detecting low-flying targets. The operations touched on all of the cruiser’s main electronic weapons systems, including electronic warfare systems, which make the ship invisible to enemy guidance means .

that something was repaired for a long time as a result of what turned out to be a military secret ... and what’s interesting is why everyone didn’t put their favorite caliber and onyx during the modernization? very similar to the cut bydzhet min.defense ....
Well, so that other readers would not immediately have questions why they came to this conclusion ...
    1. built for a long time, how could they not decide whether they will change what new hardware? the answer is either admirals are stupid people or they’re sitting in the defense department
2.Changed part of the iron - time will pass and as soon as the power from their words appears, they will again drive it for repair ...?
    3. We can’t build a new one yet, but we repair and update the old one 2 times ... or even more ... well, it smells like sabotage at the state level! IMHO

I have already written above and I will repeat it to you - Gauges are only in UKKS, there are no inclined launchers. Onyxes are too small for such a ship, they will deliver the Zircon to him as soon as the Zircon flies. Therefore, they were delayed. hi

yes, I know that there are no slopes ... this is the question that it was necessary to carry out a complete re-arrangement of the ship and then put everything new instead of granites .. to equip the ship with below-deck launch shafts, that's what I wrote about for 5 years ... they repaired and they couldn’t bring to mind to make 1 ship, at least in terms of shock capabilities, equal to the destroyers of our sworn friends .. here there are questions from the comment I voiced earlier I won’t repeat .... our admirals everywhere arrange announcements by the fact that they install calibers on small displacement ships ... and then there wasn’t enough brains to remake the cruiser for him!

It would be better if, instead of the useless 6-ton anti-ship missiles, they pushed on to this bulky box, a larger 130 mm caliber AU, a couple of Mi-8 helicopters, a compartment for transporting a company of marines, and partially armored - there would be much more sense.

It's time to change Granites to container PU Caliber. 1 PU granite = 8 calibers :)))
    + C300 Fort - a good machine will work!

Why waste time on trifles. Change already 1 PU Granite (more precisely Vulcan) for 50 "Caliber". As far as I understand, you don't care what sizes

One admiral said that Ustinov would have "... a missile system, which is not yet available." Zircon has not yet passed the tests, and the BIUS could be updated so that as soon as possible. hi
About calibers on inclined launchers I have not heard - only in UKKS. Yes, and Volcanoes it makes sense to change to Zircons immediately. A good ship will turn out. hi
