The press service of the Zvezdochka enterprise announces that the planned repair work of the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser of the 1164 Atlant project has been completed. Shipbuilders Zvezdochka Center for Ship Repair JSC completed repair and modernization of the Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser of the Atlant 1164 project. On Sunday, October 30, the cruiser went to sea to carry out the factory running test program.
The ship repair enterprise Zvezdochka has been engaged in repair work on the Marshal Ustinov RoK since 2011. During this time, gas turbine generators, main engines with associated systems, general ship systems were repaired, and a significant modernization was carried out. The cruiser acquired both modern electronic equipment and weapons of the new generation.
The Marshal Ustinov missile cruiser was commissioned in the 1986 year. The home port is Severomorsk (Federation Council of the Russian Federation). Displacement of the cruiser 11280 tons, length 186,5 m, width about 21 m, draft 7,8 m. Maximum travel speed - 32 node. The crew is about 500 people. The autonomy of swimming is up to 30 days.
