Britain will place a battalion with armored vehicles in Estonia

38
In the spring, Britain will transfer to Estonia a battalion ready for combat with armored vehicles, reports RIA News Statement by the Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom, Michael Fallon.

Britain will place a battalion with armored vehicles in Estonia

According to the minister, “the contingent will include 800 military, combat Drones, Tanks such as Challenger 2 and other equipment. " In Estonia, the British unit will unite with the military from Denmark and France.

"The battalion will be defensive in nature, but it will be fully operational,"
said fallon.

He explained that “by deploying well-armed units in the Baltic Sea area, NATO is demonstrating a growing opportunity to build real defense.”

“There are two things: confidence, and this should be done with an impressive presence, and deterrence. This is no longer just stretching the wire ... this is a serious military presence ", - added the Minister of Defense.

On Wednesday and Thursday, the alliance’s defense ministers will discuss in more detail the deployment of national battalions in the Baltic States and Poland, as well as strengthening their presence in Romania and Bulgaria.

"The battalion will be defensive in nature, but it will be fully operational,"

This means we need to increase the number of defensive Iskander missiles in Kaliningrad. And to place more missile ships with "Calibers" in the Baltic Sea.

Some kind of delusional wording (or stupid translation). You might think that defense is not about combat capability.

What you are doing there in your own country, on our land, the Russians are somehow us ... The Russians have such an appeal to the enemy, which determines the number of troops: - And we are the army!
So, on your land, do what your politicians will get into a sore head, but ... But don’t try to meddle with us in Russia — you don’t understand the Russians, especially their stupid habit of killing everyone who brings them trouble.

and how long has that land become "them"? there are documents on the purchase by Russia from Sweden, huge amounts of money were invested by the governments of both tsarist and Soviet. and only our good will gives them the right to behave so arrogantly. they were alienated there in favor of the "former owners"? Well, let them sit like mice on a broom so that Russia does not remember whose land it really is! that's for sure, you won't deal with cockroaches and cockroaches in time, you won't get around problems afterwards ..

Of course it will help in a military confrontation. These naglossaktsy am just getting ready for war. And the closer the NATO bases are to our borders, and the more they are, the more dangerous for us. Do you think that Putin in vain prevented the appearance of a US base in the Crimea, in Sevastopol?

You shouldn’t be so, my friend! Challenger 2 is one of the most protected tanks in the world. Believe me, in Kaliningrad we don’t have and won’t have a single Armata in the next 20 years (who will put cutting-edge technology for slaughter into the environment), and I'm afraid the T-90 is not a rival. So this is a PROBLEM (

Alas, I only saw tanks in pictures, so when I say that he is "ugly", that's exactly what I mean. I agree that the Armata will not be delivered to Kaliningrad soon, but about the T-90 ... I don't know, maybe I just want to believe in it recourse

It's funny and sad - my city is on the border with Lithuania, so if this European hodgepodge floods over the Neman River, I won’t even have time to get to the military enlistment office. Fighting for your country is normal, it will be a shame to sit in our exclave during the occupation and watch the complacent hari of the Euro supermen.

No need to worry about what will not happen. There will never be wars with a wide front, and if they trample through foolishness and start shooting at people alive, the khan will be not only to these tanks, but to the whole world. Nobody has time to run)) I was glad, so to speak.

It seems funny? And after a year, we do not even have time to look around, there the team will already be standing and further increasing. And so on throughout the Baltic. Of course, we are not going to attack, but the presence of an increasing NATO contingent at our borders is not encouraging.

the presence of an increasing NATO contingent at our borders is not pleasing.

And given that they plan a further increase in NATO by the adoption of non-European countries (Japan, Australia, etc.), it is possible (IMHO) that they plan to create a forceful alternative to the UN, and subsequently its replacement ...

For the west, the Baltic states are a bridgehead, for us nothing more than a foreground. And when a potential aggressor accumulates on this bridgehead, there’s not much fun. Provided that there would be no war, this news would be a joy - extra expenses. And since, in essence, this is preparation for war, it’s not fun.

The little shavers decided to help another great country, Estonia, become as powerful as Britain. All of Europe - spot on the map. Does Europe really think that the US will protect Europe and NATO? The whole mess started only because Europe introduced the Euro. The NATO bloc, represented by the United States, is not going to fight with Russia. They need to ruin Europe with the help of horror stories about Russia.

What are you doing here? A battalion with tanks is a great force. If the Provisional Government of Russia had one battalion, then there would be no October coup. On the eve of the presidential elections in our country, an attempt to organize a "Palace coup" or "Color revolution" is possible, which means "the greatest concern of the world community for the fate of strategic nuclear forces", to protect which from "barbaric crowds" these battalions can be deployed from all sides ... By the way, there is already an agreement on this. Politics, like poker, is unclean.

The contingent is already a third country, and not the last. Somehow I don't understand the harsh attitude, I am very anxious at heart. It's not about quantity. And in the possibility of provocations on the topic "Russia attacked three great (well-known) powers", while no one will remember Estonia.

"And in the possibility of provocations on the topic" Russia attacked three great (well-known) powers ",
at the same time, no one will remember Estonia. "////

This is the meaning of the deployment of the battalion.
It's one thing: "we are at war with Estonia with a population of 1 million"
Another thing: "we are at war with NATO."
The battalion is not enough for offensive or defense, but quite impressive
      to demonstrate the flag.

Here's what's interesting - if we really get into a fight, their battalions won't survive even a week of real war in the Baltics. Who will defend the EU from the "rabid hordes of wild Ivanov"? What, a whole battalion of "supertanks"? Well, probably, such a tank "with one left" will hit no less than the "Armat" company, and the T-90s will generally be crushed by caterpillars wassat are they the same English that Rommel drove through the desert, and who, less than five times the advantage, didn’t attack anyone? And now they will defend the whole country with a tank battalion? There will be fewer five divisions, according to the most conservative estimates.
