Another terrorist act occurred on the territory of Pakistan. Information Agency Associated Press reports that militants attacked a police academy in the city of Quetta. As a result of the terrorist attack, at least 59 people died. There are hundreds of injured.
In the leadership of the Baluchistan Provincial Police Department they say that the militants used suicide belts. In total, the attack on the school carried out six terrorists. The three were destroyed during a special counter-terrorist operation, which was immediately launched in Quetta.
The Pakistani sources say that the attack began when terrorists opened indiscriminate fire from an automatic weapons on the building of the police academy, several terrorists broke through into the building. Then the explosions thundered - militants fired improvised explosive devices. So far, none of the terrorist groups has claimed responsibility for the terrorist attack in Quetta.
According to Pakistani Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, those responsible for the tragedy will be severely punished. He urged the world community to pay attention to the strengthening of terrorist activity in the region and to take more responsible measures to combat international terrorism. But only Quetta is not Paris, and Western politicians and activists certainly will not take to the streets with the flags of Pakistan, which once again may indicate the West’s selective approach to "countering" terrorism.
