It is noted that the construction of the corvettes of the 056 project family (western designation Jiangdao class) is carried out in the PRC at four shipbuilding enterprises at the same time. The lead ship was launched in May 2012 in Shanghai.
During this time, the Chinese Navy received 27 ships of the specified class, and 12 are in the process of completion afloat.
Of the frigates commissioned, 11 are on the South navy, 9 - in the Eastern Fleet and 7 - in the Northern Fleet.
It is also reported on the construction in China of 2-x large training ships. One of them is a sailing-motor vessel, the other is a training ship of a new project with a displacement of about 10 thousand tons.
