The Defense Ministry turned its attention to the Antonov An-140 company.

A few years later, the Ministry of Defense returned to the IL-112В project. At the end of December 2013, it was announced that the sum of 2014 billion rubles was planned for the state defense order for 7,9 year. to conduct development work (OCD). After their implementation, it is planned to sign a contract for the serial supply of aircraft.

In 2015, the aircraft’s technical design was defended in front of the customer, who was presented with a full-size cockpit mockup to evaluate the ergonomics of workplaces, the convenience of the location of controls and liquid-crystal displays.

The protection of the technical project has allowed to proceed to the development of working design documentation for the aircraft, as well as technological documentation and in the future to proceed with the manufacture of equipment and production of prototypes of the aircraft.

At the beginning of 2016, during the planned working visit, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia, Yuri Borisov, visited Voronezh Aircraft Building Company PJSC (VASO).

“United Aircraft Corporation has chosen VASO as the main manufacturer of these aircraft. We renewed the contract for their development. According to the plan from the middle of 2017, the first flight should be realized. Zhukovsky (TsAGI) commissioned by JSC "Il" completed the first stage of testing for a flutter of a dynamically similar model of the IL-112В aircraft. The experiment took place in a subsonic wind tunnel.

When conducting tests on a flutter, a model in scale 1 was used: 5, wing span - 5,3 m, weight - 300 kg. The data obtained indicate a sufficient speed margin to ensure the safety of the aircraft from flutter. At the same time, other parameters affecting fuel consumption, payload, structural rigidity and possible changes in the aircraft’s dynamic characteristics during flight were investigated.

Experts of TsAGI, before giving a final conclusion on the safety of the aircraft from the flutter, still have to carry out a number of studies, including the second stage of testing the model for flutter and frequency testing of the first flight model.
