Russian Army will soon receive improved flamethrowing systems
According to ITAR-TASS, referring to the statement of Lieutenant Colonel Sergey Vlasov (representative of the ground forces of the Russian Federation), the Russian Armed Forces in 2012 intend to adopt the modernized TOC-1A “Solntsepe” type flamethrower systems. These vehicles will be put into service by the chemical, radiation and biological defense forces. True, the exact number of these flamethrower systems that RCBZ troops will receive is not reported by Sergey Vlasov.
It is known that TOC-1A is made on the basis of TOC-1 "Buratino". The system includes the BM-1 combat vehicle, which has 24 guides for thermo-pressure and incendiary 220-mm caliber missiles. Compare: the Buratino fighting vehicle has 30 guides. In addition, the TOS-1А includes a TZM-T transport-charging machine. It is worth noting that the "Sunlight" can destroy enemy objects at a distance from 3,6 to 6 thousands of meters (depending on the types of missiles), while the area of destruction will be from 1 thousands to 2-x thousands m2.
Sergey Vlasov also shared: “In addition, they will also install ground-based computing complexes, automated accounting and control systems for radioactive waste and substances, airborne radiation reconnaissance systems, indicator tubes and filter-absorbers. The mentioned equipment is intended to be sent to separate RCBZ brigades of the district kit, which were formed last year. ”
Recall that in December of the past, 2011 of the year, S. Vlasov said that during the year, the Ground Forces adopted more than 10 thousand units of automobile and armored vehicles, as well as about 2-x thousand units of communication machines. The troops of chemical, radiation and biological protection, in particular, received reconnaissance vehicles РХМ-6 and flame-throwing heavy systems TOC-1А. Automobile cranes and tugboats were installed for engineering parts. In addition, the military still received 30-type Tornado-G volley fire systems.
